    Thanks Topper.

    Looks very clear and professional.

It'll all end in tears and confusion though, doubtless.

    Umm..how is that better?

Same same before - click on the image in Topper's post and it's easily readable.

You've just reduced it in size.

Twas my thought as well. The wife and I were thinking of visiting at Christmas, but it will take longer than that for Thailand to figure WTF its doing in practice.

It isn't Thailand, that's the problem.

It's whatever province you're heading to and what they require.

The most lax places are the ones with loads of dodgy farang, because they are overloaded and can't enforce the rules.

    Pattaya and Samui, for example.

So where will the dodgy farang be heading, advised on whatsapp?

And what will that do to the Immigration office workers workload...

    Farce.

That's exactly why we're waiting for the dust to settle, though I doubt there's tons of travelers wanting to put up with all the BS.

People here in CM seem to think there will be a tourism explosion next week.

    Hope springs eternal in Thailand.

Maybe in December when the nation migrates north to experience sub 20 degree temps.

Supposedly there are 7,000 int'l tourists registered for arrival on Monday.

I would think most of them will be going to the islands.

    All will be returning expats.

No tourists will go to Thailand the way the situation is now.

Tbf it must be a great time for expats in Thailand right now.

Closed bars and failed businesses must be great. But at least there’s no traffic.

I should imagine the expats are enjoying the absence of 2 week millionaires and are once again hansum men.
Not that you'd be able to appreciate that unless youve got a telescope on your 1m square balcony monkey boy

I would imagine that most long term stay expats in Thailand have no desire to be ‘Hamsun men’.

There's still hotel quarantine in PH (5N/ 6D) if you come from Thailand, which is a yellow listed country in PH (even if fully vaxxed).

IMO it's not yet a good time to travel out of PH (and into TH) now, unless it's urgent. Restrictions in PH will probably ease by March/ April. It will be before the elections (May 2022) and by then, hopefully 70% of the target population have been vaxxed. As of Thursday (Oct 28), it was ~35% of target population according to Sec Harry Roque, presidential spokesperson.

Joe expats and tourists rarely mix. Add to that the confusion over different rules for different provinces, airlines, hotels, and the such and its still not a great place to visit or think about touring in reality.

The existing thread contains the latest information and has been pinned by the mods to keep everything in one, easy-to-find place, rather than being dotted around the forum.

For example, the list of countries was raised from 46 to 63 yesterday.

But if information like that isn't useful to you, I suppose you could just shove it up your well worn arse.
The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth
