...6 episodes into season 2: entertaining stuff...excellent cast...
Stockton and Brooklyn are the closest I've seen of teh gutter in USA but like here or Europe evil low life , cops and robbers is universal so is t really that good or just the best you have seen?
It can vary the script, acting and production and direction quality, even teh dullest plot or unbelievable (Bond,CSI or 24hrs storyline ) can be transformed and made rewardng by great performances, think Jack in the Shining,F rances McDoramnd in Fargo , Cage in Face off or Bogie in the Maltese Falcon.
Is it really the best ever of the genre compared to say CSI,Wire in the Blood, Fargo series or Morse?
I am happy to be convinced, The new Perry Mason seemed limp but I'll give t a go if convinced.
I think if Covid restrictions curtail socal sanuk a good library of movies wll be just the ticket.
I grew up watching John Thaw and Denis Waterman, aka THE SWEENEY (with a remarkably posh twang slipping thru sometimes) chasing tooled up sooties , petermen with a nice bit of schmutter and assorted tarts and villains which seemed exteremely realistic in the Kray and Richardson era.
I rather like teh bumblng amateur sleths who are actually astute Colombo, Dalziell, Lewis and Dr Watson who like me bumble along behind teh scenes and keep their rod mainly sheathed.
