Definitely Connery with Moore as respectful 2nd. I am enjoying Craig in these recent Bond segments. Its hard to judge them as those 3 have all played the roll at very different periods of time. The latest bond movies are much more entertaining due to the special effects and action.

Craig but that may be to do with the plotlines as well, didn't think much of the comedic Moore scripts. Can't ignore Coronary for setting the standard.

Craig has been in the most consistently good movies, and was a massive upgrade on Brosnan.

Unlike all the others he’s also been in some very good movies that have been about as far away from Bond as it is possible to get.

He’s excellent as Ted Hughes married to Sylvia Plath.

Not easy to see any other Bond actor carrying that off.

The only part of Moore that was acting was one of his eyebrows.

Sean Connery is THE James Bond. Daniel Craig close second. Those others, meh.

Read Fleming's complete Bond series so I say the greatest is the Bond in the book.
None of the other hollywood versions come close.

    There aren't any 'hollywood' versions.

But yes, the books are different from the movies.

Daniel Craig for me by a mile. Not a Connery fan.

Oh, Connery was very good for his time, but that was a long time ago so a lot of it seems quite old hat these days.

Daniel Craig therefore gets my vote. But he is helped a lot by the screenwriters....they nailed Bond's character pretty well.

    Addendum :
You had to be cool to be able to get away with an outfit like this, even in 1974, and in another genre.

Who in their right fucking mind could think he ‘got away’ with that outfit?

    Still…if the cheque fits…

Va va voom, what a bod! Big package as well

Daniel Craig did a good job as Bond, but I liked the look of Pierce Brosnan best.

That makes absolutely no sense at all.

    Craig
    Moore
    Connery

Although it's a very tight call.

Nice to see Daniel Craig getting his star on the Hollywood boulevard today.

On a side note George Lazenby the one hit wonder drinks in my old local pub.
A solitary character and huge in size, preparing to sit on his own supping his pint.

Telling whoppers are we? He lives in LA so it would be a long trip to your local pub.

Lazenby lives in Brentwood, Los Angeles. He previously owned a house in Pacific Palisades.

Ian Fleming was asked what his Bond character should look like actually. He said something like-

Then again, should you believe a novelist who copies his titles from dads local pub-

Better slap a few quid on Harry Connick Jr. as the next Bond then.
