    Kava root tea/extract. Natures Xanax.

My kratom dealer has this shit. It has some decent reviews. It has subtle Xanax like effects. If you take too much, it feels like alcohol. I'll post a review when mine gets here.

Some comments from Reddit and YT.

Kava is a drug with a mild body "buzz" akin to alcohol or weed, but it's less of a buzz and more of a mildly euphoric relaxation. It retains mental clarity, some saying it even gives them focus, while promoting social interaction. It promotes restful sleep, without a hangover after- though some report an afterglow lasting far into the day following use of it.

You can get potent kava online, which will give the most tangible effects, but for most people who expect kava to be a recreational drug on the level of weed will be sorely disappointed. It's more of a mild social lubricant that is best enjoyed in a group. It's nice when you don't have access to any weed or booze or really need to relax without taking a benzo.

It can be combined with a small amount of alcohol for some synergy, but just be aware that the oft quoted dangers of kava and liver damage are only relevant when alcohol is introduced (though you'll probably be fine if you do it every so often). I've also heard that kava and weed is a pleasant combination.

So, basically, kava is in a word "mild". Take it expecting serious results and you'll be disappointed. Go into it expecting nothing and you might be pleasantly surprised.

"There's no intoxication!", yeah ok buddy, just had 3 servings and definitely wouldn't trust myself to drive. On the back of the package it literally says not to operate a vehicle or heavy machinery after consumption.

I just had some and wondering what the hell it is because it f’ed me up but I was able to drive normally

I tried kava when I was in Fiji. Definitely has a calming effect, but it tastes like muddy water and your tongue goes numb.

If you're so stressed up that you need to drink these kinds of concoctions, wouldn't it be better to eliminate the stress in your life?

    Just asking....

Of course. But its impossible to get the stuff anymore. Thanks to the war on drugs, we are going back to premodern medicine. Doctors cannot prescribe it under any circumstances. Heard it from the doctors mouth.

And the counterfeit stuff is kinda dangerous.

I can honestly say that I've never (knowingly) taken Xanax in my life What's with all this pill-popping and concoction-drinking?

Yep, tried it in Fiji on plenty of occasions.

Have enough of it and your legs go numb as well. Very hard to stand...

Do you ever drink coffee or alcohol ? Probably right ? It's the exact same. It makes you feel different.

For the record , I think alcohol is the worst and most destructive drug that the world has on offer.

But helge, kratom is the coffee of opiates and Kava is the coffee of Valium. They are all just plants. Coffee is just a more socially accepted one. Kratom of Kava really isn't any more edgy than coffee.

    Backspin:
I got provoked by your postulate that coffee and Xanax is the same thing.

On more than one level it isn't.

One is a downer and the other is a very mild upper.

(i don't know anything about Xanax to be honest, but I do know coffee)

    Don't know your tea either

I don't need to feel different I'm happy the way that I feel now.

Sure, I drink coffee but rarely alcohol. I can't say that drinking coffee is on the same level as popping Xanax etc to get a high. I just like the taste...

B.C. does have some unique practices when it comes to certain prescription medications so your not entirely out there backspin. I think this is because of the high rates of overdose deaths here. There are likely more deaths in Vancouver than the rest of Canada combined. B.C., having relatively mild winters seems to attract full time individuals who are prone to the 'druggie' lifestyle. A few points.

Valium and the like should not be that difficult to get unless:

-one already uses narcotic pain killers. You'll not get the two prescribed together anymore.
    -Any history of drug abuse.

Two things to always remember when visiting a doctor out in these parts,

    1. Never admit to smoking marijuana.
    2. Never admit to entertaining thoughts of suicide.

Outside of those you should be free to acquire Xanax, Valium and the like.

As far as the Kava Root, I would be concerned with longer term accumulation and toxicity in various vital organs.

    Take care.
