I was drinking a V8 green juice chaser chez Senoritas but it did not feel right with the maccas. A splash of Passiona would have gone down a treat but the Passiona had run out, as must everything good in life, so I settled for sparkly mango with OJ mixer

This is SS's manouevre for getting a glass from the top shelf. First open both doors then reverse into the corner then lift your bum up onto the counter then twist and reach up and behind you - quite resourceful

I remember setting one of them afloat on a local lake.

Morning at the Bhakti Rambhai Canal, a Chanthabiuri river diversion/water retention system of canals and dams on the south side of Chanthaburi city.

10+ years ago we used to mountainbike here in the mud while the canals were being dug/formed; concrete now each side for cyclists, I hoped to find the long concrete area I pedalled through too late to realise if was freshly laid, leaving a lovely footprint of wide mtb tyres, but no luck there.

Hills in background are Namtok Phliu National Park.

^^ I read somewhere about how the GTA having a very significant share of construction cranes in North America.

I've never been to Toronto. What's the appeal? It can't be the weather with about half the year it has snow.

A lot of construction because of Trudeau policies.
Unfortunately the city now smells of piss and weed. It has gone downhill post covid.

Funerals are not a popular topic although they are part of Thailand and Isan culture. Yesterday I went to the cremation of the woman whom I had visited in hospital last Saturday. She was just 52 and went from healthy to deceased in a very few months. She never married and had no children, she wasn't wealthy and still more than 100 people were at the temple. That is a lot more than I expect to be at my funeral. Her coffin was the thinnest wood, it only took a couple of men to lift it, she was less than 40kg at the end.

The first shot is leaving the house, the coffin in a refrigerated sarcophagus. Just out of shot is a monk, smoking and looking at his mobile phone.
The second shot shows the coffin ready for cremation. Most local residents will know (1) the three flights of steps, being one up in the centre and two down, one on each side, are the reason that your missus will never agree to a house plan which has a porch with three flights of steps in that combination and (2) the East-West orientation is the reason why she'll not have her bed that way round.

End of the trail, the pink rocks
Khung Krabaen Non-Hunting area, north side of Paknam Kaem Nu bridge, Chanthaburi.
Trail starts after the campground, steep up to the hilltop through trees then open grassland, more trees and down to the sea level and the rocks at end of the peninsula. Time for a swim then back the same route - low tide it's possible to continue around at sea level to near the campground, but not today.
Met a group of five as i was leaving, otherwise all to myself. Next time I'll take snorkeling gear; there's an island Koh Saba about 300m out, uninhabited, would be an easy kayak on a calm day.

Don't know what this was intended for

The great things about working offshore are that you can live where you like and you don't have to drive through rush hour traffic every day...

So, first athletics carnival of the Season. Twilight Carnival.

(Below) ... he's improved his technique recently from his action below. He straightened his following leg because he kept knocking the bar with his ankle.

His bum easily clears the bar, but let down by a trailing bent leg. I never picked it, but an someone else picked up on it. Later, in another Carnival he straightened it a little and hopped away with a Gold Medal!

Three Silvers and a bronze. Both Twins threw an identical shot-put throw and tied for the Silver.

Just trying the different settings on my phone camera. Same image. First one is 'normal' ... second one is using the 'night' setting, designed for low light situations.
