I took this from the U-turn underpass in Korat, where Mittraparp Road crosses over the existing railway track by the Sima Thani Hotel.
Those concrete pylons will carry the new high speed bullet train between Korat and Bangkok, and by the looks of things the high speed railway will pass above Mittraparp Road, where the existing rail tracks pass under.

In theory, by 2027 Korat to a lower Sukhumvit bar will be possible in under two hours! I guess you could also do the return journey just as quickly... but why would anyone want to rush that?

I found these guys on the beach promenade pulling up newly-planted palm trees and then placing another similar tree back in the hole!!! Not sure why - it looks similar to prisoners being told to move a hole from here to there!
