I got the E-M5 in 2015 with the 12-50mm macro just by luck of what was available at the time. I did not realise how good the macro feature would turn out to be.

Then I bought the 40-150mm zoom (80-300mm equivalent)

And it has proved a great lens too.

This was the full moon rising this evening with Jupiter to one side.

I was surprised when I zoomed in on the crop to see that the M43 sensor had picked up the 3 visible moons of Jupiter.

Not bad for handheld at 300mm

Morning alms round in Luang Prabang. This isn't the alms round in the middle of town for the tourists, (there aren't any foreign tourists anyway). This alms round is on the outskirts of the town, so just attended by the local villagers. There are maybe 50 young monks here, with the youngest novice monks about 7 years old. (I'm walking into town to buy some freshly-baked French bread).

Groping women when you're old is fine - everyone thinks you're senile

The one in the middle, lying down, seems like an easy going old cow, will be easier to load in the back.

These wee guys were glowing red with the bright sunset directly behind them.

This is why I'm not a photographer.

Matey's wife has a Lamyai plantation up in the hills.

    Dem der hills.

It's apparently picking time since 2 days ago, so we took the opportunity for a bike ride.

    White gold.

    White, sweet, juicy, gold.

Stuffed a few Kg into me bag when the men with the machetes weren't watching.*

*not completely true. They did give us a kg or two each, and we brought up a load of drinks for everybody on our way up.

    To answer OhNo.

They said this year's harvest goes for 16thb per kilo, compared to last year's price of 20thb.

The wife/owner apparently keeps half, and the picker's boss get's half, which is split up between the pickers and their weight picked.

me and the missus went for an overnighter in the country - needed to sytop and take a slash - we literally parked underneath an osprey's nest (there was sa sign and then a widlife photographer appeared and had a chat about them). I was just rapt - 2 of them - magnificent - I would have been happy if they had crapped on my new car!
