I'm glad to see you know what you are talking about. As I probably said I respect Sukhoi devs, maybe the best in the world. But you understand tactical has now become global. We track everything air ground naval and it happens right then. In this ecosystem lone fighters like Sukhoi or, say, Swedish JAS39 have no future. China has power to make their own ecosystem which they do.

China’s J-20 Stealth Fighter is Getting a Major Boost - Thanks to Russia

China’s J-20 Stealth Fighter is Getting a Major Boost - Thanks to Russia | The National Interest

China has struggled to build a sufficiently-powerful engine for the J-20 domestically, which is just as important as a thrust-vectoring capability. Ultimately the newest variant of the Chinese-built J-20, the J-20B, is intended to be equipped with powerful Chinese-designed WS-15 engines that would offer increased performance, likely better fuel efficiency, and a higher-altitude flight envelope. But because the production of the newer engine is lagging behind schedule, China has opted for a foreign design made in Russia.

While the Russia-designed AL-31 engine does offer superior thrust output and improves the J-20 platform’s flight characteristics, the People’s Liberation Army Air Force would no doubt prefer not relying on foreign-sourced engines and move J-20B engine production to China.

Despite the newer Chinese engine missing production deadlines, sources claim that the development of the WS-15 is going ahead smoothly and that the engine should be ready in the next couple of years.

New Russian MC-21 Aircraft Can Compete With Boeing And Airbus Models, Analysts Say

A new report says the Russian narrow body Irkut MC-21 “appears to be an excellent aircraft” that can compete with similar models from Airbus and Boeing, but sales outside Russia will be hampered by concerns over maintenance and geopolitics.

The report by the consulting firm Air Insight said the two MC-21 models, which seat between 132 and 175 passengers in two classes, can be competitive with the Boeing 737MAX 8 and the Airbus A320neo.

Excellent picture of the component suppliers.

All EU/ameristani. Expected from the two major aircraft suppliers.

All subject to potential illegal commercial/political sanctions.

Many opportunities for study and improvement.

This is an excellent article primarily regarding missile technology.

That article from Russian govt. Sorry to break your illusion but China is some 15.7 light years ahead of Russia now in tech. China has about everything in tech. Russia has old nukes designed when Russia was technologically great and specific developer teams are great still but overall now Russia can't compete it's like the EU.

Maybe they should just buy them off the Indians.

But having said that, Vlad probably needs to think about new AWACS rather than fighters, judging by the shit they were still flying around Europe as recently as yesterday.

The US doesn't fly B2 bombers on little dog pissing on his territory runs either. Its just considered too provocative and rude. So they use the 2nd tier stuff.
