I did too. Learned some very painful lessons on why you shouldn't ever pay your house off. You are worth more being in debt up to your eyeballs and strangely enough it gives you more buying power.
However here cash is king and being debt free is a rewarding stress free feeling.
I did a bit of shopping Elon Musk style: - Spend Elon Musk Fortune!
The receipt
None of us living next door to an Elon Musk!
No because he has sold all his houses and all trappings...
Elon Musk Really Is Living in a Tiny Prefab House in Texas
...but all this is a waste of time.
This thread is not the Billionaire Next Door.
A million dollars these days in Boganland is fuck all.
Any shitstain who has a decent job and owns their house is a walk up start and there are a heap of fukers in that boat.
On the other hand if one has pissed around in Thailand being a broke arse English teacher and has the equivalent of 20 baht in the bank ( Willy wanker ) they will be destined to die of starvation and a fetid infected arsehole.
Thats also Willy wanker.
And there is plenty of millionaires living in Thailand anyway.
Imagine a 5 minute from the beach 128 square meter condo on the sixth floor, with 2 bedrooms for less than 100,000 US dollars.

The world is flooded with millionaires and billionaires today thanks to the flood of money printed by the central banks.
But the crash always comes. And this is going to be one for the record books. Just like the roaring 20's, legions of these paper rich phonies will be wiped out. Rich family dynasties will be dissolved into nothing. And i will laugh my ass off at them.
Not if you own it! the point is to get out of debt, all of those paper rich can fall and I will kick them on the way down just as hard as you, I'm just pointing out that you can buy a property over here in your own name with legal title 5 minutes from Jomtien beach, for under 75.000 USD.
And some would kinda think, better do it soon.

"No bubble behavior here:
A mansion in north Scottsdale's Silverleaf area sold twice in one day The buyer paid $17.5M cash for a mansion. He purchased the nine bedroom, 9 ½ bathroom house from another buyer, who paid $15 million for it earlier that day."
A tray full of GOLD is not worth a moment in time.
