if its so easy to cough it around why is the test so invasive. why not just cough onto/into a petri dish. not science , common sense

To be fair, many other methodologies are being developed; mucus, saliva etc ... But, in the grander scheme of things a q-tip shoved up your nose is hardly 'invasive' and only takes literally seconds.

I dont personally know anyone who's died of covid, but I know a shitload who have had it and recovered. I also dont know anyone who's needed to go to the hospital for it either, but one guy offshore got pretty sick and very very weak, but he also recovered without hospitalization.

Pretty sure ive had it but never done the antibody test for it.

    It's all a conspiracy, isn't it . . . Bill Gates is a bastard.

Seriously? Just because you two don't know anyone personally who has died from it?

    Ok - math:

    World population: 7.6 billion
Covid Deaths: let's round it up to 4 million

You can work out the odds of knowing someone who has died from covid.

So if you don't personally know anyone who's died of COVID then it's all a government plot, right?

Or is it those pesky alien lizard people?

Or are they one and the same?

    TIA.

Would you trust "the science" for that if you had though.

    Dont be silly.

But I do believe the virus is not bad enough to justify the reaction its caused, which is still going on 18 months later.

I don't think I can form an opinion on that until I've watched me some more Tucker Carlson.

Only over 2 billion vaccinations? Nope, hasn't been used enough.

Who can guarantee that those vaccinated won't start dying after:

    1) 2 years
    2) 5 years
    3) 10 years
    4) 20 years
    4) 50 years
    5) 70 years
    6) 100 years

    No sireeee Bob . . . I needs me some propper proof . . . soooeeeeee

Yes I do. More than 100 of my colleagues have had it, and two have died, including one who worked in my office who passed away last week.

    And a colleague's mother died.

    You fucking idiot.

It's quite surprising that nearly 3/4 of TD posters appear to be quite sensible about this.

    Forum glitch, maybe.

I do not mean to be personal, but this is the epitome of the Dunning-Kruger effect. Quite simply, you have no idea of how much you do not know.

Simply (and the problem is, that leads to further problems) petri dishes are used to detect/culture bacteria, while coronavirus is a, well, virus. You could cough on a petri dish until your lungs bled, and it would do you no fucking good.

No. However I do believe jab should be mandatory.
My lock em up in camps was tongue in cheek but for those refusing, perhaps a way to isolate them is in order. Stuff such as limiting access to public transportation, going to a hotel, getting a drivers license and all sorts of other things. With a bit of imagination sure plenty of legal ways to convince the refuseniks it is in their best interest to get the jab.

Re your question, already asked and answered.

    Know anyone died from Covid?

So if you want to carry on working at home...

Morgan Stanley on Tuesday told its staff that workers and clients who are not vaccinated against Covid-19 will be barred from returning to New York City and Westchester County offices with a large employee presence beginning July 12, CNBC has confirmed.

All Morgan Stanley staff in the New York metropolitan area are also now required to attest to their coronavirus vaccination status by July 1.

Employees who are not fully vaccinated will have to continue working remotely, the company told workers Tuesday.

The move, which will allow Morgan Stanley to lift mask and physical distancing requirements in its offices, follows similar actions by other financial giants.

Right back at you Slick. Yesterday you gave me a Newsflash, well here is a Newsflash for you. Dr. Leana Wen public health professor at George Washington University " the best thing that we can be doing to protect our children is to get vaccinated ourselves. We as the adult population, should all be getting vaccinated, so that we can protect those among us who are not able to." Damn it feels good to be right.
