The mRNA vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna) continue to do very well against the variants compared to the viral vector vaccines like AstraZeneca.

In the UK where the Delta Covid variant from India is spreading:

How serious is Delta Covid variant for UK and do vaccines stop it?

According to PHE, the effectiveness of both the Oxford/AstraZeneca and BioNTech/Pfizer vaccines in preventing symptomatic disease after a single dose drops to 33 per cent because of the Delta variant.

But, after two doses, this figure rises steeply to 60 per cent for Oxford/AstraZeneca and 88 per cent for BioNTech/Pfizer.

and the viruses changes slightly from year to year, so does also the flue vaccine.

Vaccines protect against severe disease and death in healthy people, they don't make you 100% unaffected by a disease or its virus.

It's sometimes a lengthy process, pointing out all the idiocy in one or two short LT sentences.

Not sure we're even there yet.

That is not strictly true. The ideal for a vaccine is for what is called sterilizing immunity. That does prevent the disease 100%.

Not all vaccines induce sterilizing immunity however.

Sadly I have to inform you that you don't know very much.

The 'flu VACCINE is manufactured in advance of flu season and works against the three or four strains they predict will be prevalent. If you get the flu, it's from a strain they didn't predict would spread.

Flu is a nasty little fucker that has lots of effective strains every year.

So far the existing Covid vaccines work against all existing strains to varying degrees.

That's why it's important to wipe this little fucker out before it can mutate like the flu into something more durable and harder to nail down.

There are also other sources, mostly based on scientists' knowledge. However, not sure whether they are so trustful as MSM...

    e.g.:
    https://assets.publishing.service.go...26.05.2021.pdf

    https://assets.publishing.service.go...26.05.2021.pdf

But often the sources quoting the govt figures (as above) are labelled as conspiracy theory - and are not advisable to mention, in some cases even banned - so what we should believe?

But with all vaccines, so far, you can still catch the disease. All they do to varying degrees is negate the necessity for hospitalization.

What i have been unable to discover is if after having the disease one is immune to further bouts?

Having a proper dose of a proper vaccine (not that chinky or russian shit) will:

    - Significantly reduce the chance of you getting infected

    *and*

    - Significantly reduce the chance of serious infection *if* you are one of the few that do get infected

    *and*

    - Significantly reduce the chance of death if you are one of the few that gets a serious infection

    Covid Kills.

If you are trying to come up with excuses why you and/or your family should get vaccinated, then you are risking you and them getting ill or dying.

I somehow very much doubt any health decisions in the lt family are swayed by the pocket general's beer o'clock mood swings.

What Harry said and have a look at this chart.

The reason new daily cases have gone down dramatically is that more than 60% of Americans have received at least one shot of a vaccine and in some states is higher than 70%.

Already more than 50% of Americans are fully vaccinated with high-quality vaccines.

Dear Loy Toy. Without any ‘vaccine’ you could catch Covid, and in the worst case, you could get seriously ill and die.
If you do get the ‘vaccine’ you have an even smaller chance of catching Covid. If you do catch it after you have had the ‘vaccine’ you might still get sick, but you will NOT die from it.

Take a chance. Without vaccine you might catch Covid and you might die. With the vaccine. You will not die from Covid.

    Up to you mate.

Good to see that Thailand is ordering more mRNA vaccines — in this case 20 million doses of Pfizer to be given to the public.

Apperently, the first mRNA vacccines to arrive in Thailand will be the order private hospitals have placed for Moderna — 10 million doses, with the first 4 million to arrive in October (price: 3,800 baht for 2 doses).

The government has approved the order of 20 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine from US manufacturer, Pfizer. The Bangkok Post reports that the head of the Department of Disease Control signed the contract yesterday. Delivery will be some time this year, but when exactly is unclear, as the vaccine has yet to be approved by Thailand’s Food and Drug Administration.
Moderna price set at 3,800 baht for two doses
