Sofar, switch is the only expat that finds living in Thailand as crap. ^ ^^ these guys that don't live here shouldn't sway any of you new guys decisions.

I think it's a great place to live.
In a few decades time when in my 60's I'll probably move on. Personally I don't see it getting any better in the coming decades, especially for Westerners, while other places will.
If I was 60 now, it would be one place I'd consider. As well as Vietnam, Spain, and South America.
Humm, should my current Thai Partner and I split then maybe a 'retirement in Thailand' is an option.
Would only consider twin 22 yo's attractive lassies who were orphaned and spoke reasonable English.
