i am back with a NEW HEAD AND I AM ON THE HUNT.

just an update on my last post 10th.dec.my visit to immigration to do my extension,all papers filled in so was there any aggravation?yes there was,this is the first time in 11yrs.they made me fill in the forms again,WHY? they must be filled in with a BLUE PEN.

Just the sort of roller coaster post this place has been missing.

After years of experience, I do not even bother to carry a black pen, ony blue. The "logic" is that it distinguishes an original from a photocopy.

Form filling 101, innit.

^^^ Nid, I also have had the pleasure of using Korat's immigration office to do my first ever extension of stay in 15 years... never again, I hope. I'm going back to annual multi-entry Non Os as soon as Covid allows. The immigration office is only 10 minutes from my house, yet the hoops they have put me through make me favour a short trip to Singapore to get a visa once a year.

They did indeed insist on a blue pen to fill out all forms when (apparently) black had to be used previously. To apply for my new UK passport (which took nine bladdy weeks to arrive) a black pen was mandatory for the forms. I think it's worth keeping a blue and black pen in your pocket these days.

The 'blue' requirement to show that it's original seems obsolete these days when everyone has a colour photocopier/scanner at home which produce such good quality copies you can't tell which is the original or copy.
