Maybe some kind of Bang Fai, and the small creatures would have a nice leap into adulthood (two words ?)

How many tadpoles and potential frogs will pop out.

I had something similar in my shed but it turned out to be dozens of tiny spiders when I poked it.

I suggest you fill the back of your pick up with water and make a mobile pond for them, then you still have the sole use of the pool.

    Win, win.

All is well that ends well...

In a moment of inspiration whilst swimming this morning which definitely wasn't inspired by the thought of alien face hugging lizards falling from the pod onto me head I grabbed the grotesque thing and reunited it with its bigger and uglier brother in the pot thingy:

Now I don't like to just throw out words like "hero" and bravery" but if someone else were to I wouldn't object...

I have 3 or 4 of those tree frog egg sacks in my water lotus pots. If you have those skeeter eating fish they love the tadpoles and eat them up. Not many survive. I leave them as a source of food.

They are. I have seen numerous species around our place. There is a tan one that can jump a friggen mile and stick to any surface, has eyes that match its skin color. Really cool looking one.

An in depth discussion over the pool, its size, that it has been photoshopped, and who owns it etc. by a gaggle of middle-aged men.

    It's. Just. Not. Normal.

Karen is a shining* example of a recidivist who can just shake off the jail experience and not learn a single thing.

My ex was once thinking of opening a little frog farm, to help feed the family and make a few baht. My Isaan family had a fetish for 'baked frog and rice in a claypot', which I thought more Chinese than Isaan really. She would be jealous of your sacs antie.

(Doing my best to not make family comments about anyone wanting Ant's sacs - well, except for Taxidriver)

Last season I think 7 or 8 of our lotus water pots had the egg sacks in them. I rounded up a bucket, pulled them all out and relocated them to the river by our place. We have a few still in the back forty pots that I just ignore.
