I have one of those electric open fire look heaters to keep it warm in winter, cost £20 from a charity shop a few years ago.

Sourced a couple of 6ft x 3ft double glazed windows from a skip and spent the day fitting them into a home made frame. Quite impressed with them and how much my costs are reducing from my initial plan.

Plus there's a few struts missing on Blackpools South pier:)
Thieving pikey. There’s no way you got sheets of unbroken glass that just happened to be gently laying in a skip
Might have to start looking at some sort of display case / stand thing for me latest Man Cave additions:

Have you left them in the boxes or opened them up to play broom brooms?
I was gonna do magic shelves for 10 or so models that I have that are around the same size, and have them together on one section of a wall. One for each model.

That was around 2 years ago so haven't gotten round to it yet.
Very nice chaps.
To felt or not to felt the roof, that is the question.
A few options out there, rubber, fibreglass etc...

Any more handy skips nearby filled with sealant and felt?
Perhaps just taking the skip and adding some windows is an option.
Was rained off for a week or so but now the glorious British Summer has returned with a vengeance .
The unrelenting heat was intensified by the 4m x 4m rubber roof covering I opted for, the adhesive was going off within seconds so i had to be quick.
Managed to get the roof covering on in under an hour and lost about a litre of beer sweat in the process.

This rubber roofing is all the rage at the moment and lasts for 50 years.
Some people even grow grass and have rooftop gardens.
BTW in pic 2, those pieces of 2.4m CLS timber were £3.50 last month. Today £5.50!!!!
The bloke in the trade centre reckons they'll be £8 next month because of the demand and rationing has had to be implemented.
It appears every man and his dog is building a mancave/office/summer house/ chalet or shed.:)
Would be an easy convert to a chicken coup
Rubber roofing? Okaay.

Water proofed the rear with felt.
Hoping to have the main wing finished this week then the spa extension starts.:spin:
A proper shack. Look at the gap in the door frame. Must have lined that up after his usual bottle of rotgut brandy. :)
That's a great job from scratch, mate. Nice one!
As soon as I've moved into a bigger house I'll copy you. But moving into a bigger house in the UK means saving up for several thousand years.
Build one in the woods and live in it!
^^ Nice one Slap, good luck with it all.
^ You'd be surprised how many people go off grid with their log cabins in the woods Dirk, loads on YouTube.
Update on the progress.
Floor underlay has gone down at a cost of £50 ..

Managed to source the remaining timber for the interior this week so hopefully I can get it all boxed of and finished soon.
Then theres the matter of an extension to the left for the spa and outside decking area/veranda.
It's a marathon not a sprint:)
Are you supposed to get building permission for stuff like this? Or do they not mind shanty dwellings appearing?
Will you have a window on the adjacent wall so you can stand the legal distance from it?
Quote:
Standard height from the floor to the bullseye on the dartboard is 5 feet 8 inches, while the oche (distance between the front of the board and the toeline) should measure 7 feet 9.25inches.
