Yes yes, I know what he's talking about now.
I hit clay today with the foundations, suffering now.
RIP the Thai beach bungalow.
6 weeks to construct and a day to destroy.
Laying the 14ft x 8ft concrete foundations tomorrow for my man cave, although my daughter thinks the name is sexist so we've decided to call it something else.
Any suggestions?
Theres gonna be a gym, sofa bed, sound system, bar, cult movie posters etc...
The Hangout seems to be a politically correct name for the space but I'm open to suggestions.
The winning name will be put above the door.
C'mon help a fellow TD remember out

Having just read the last 20 posts you are all either pissed, have syphilis or have a frontal lobe injury.
He said he's demolished his short time Thai bungalow in his backgarden, the one that looked like yours in Chiang Mai
He's now building a gym/cinema... also like yours but with a viewing area instead of cameras and a less musky scent
Popped round to mine this arvo to de-musk the place. Clean various stains, enjoy the rooftop pool and the view which now is up to a good 10 meters.
Was gonna stay but Edith was doing ribs. Quite looking forward to next weekend there now, and the religious-reader that's using me for airport taxi, free aircon and pringles.
Lockdown mancave project has been coming along nicely, with the aid of a few youtube videos...
Foundations..
The floor..
The framework...
With a bit of help...
The trusty work horse..
A Brucie bonus...
A storm beckons...
No storm yet, will have to remove the tarpaulin tomorrow and crack on with the roof.
In the meantime, source a man with a van to collect some heavy french patio doors or ...make my own..
3m x 4m mancave.
SOS DIY Mancave mission
Joe, I dont want to be a spoilsport but how do you plan to get all that into your "mancave"? Not to be a shit as well but there must be some kind of optical illusion as that does not look 3 meters by 4 meters to me. Hope I am wrong.. Have fun with the rest of your construction and fitting it out.
It does look a bit snug.
He got pissed and decided to build a Tardis. Talk about using your space wisely.
