A donation of a million Moderna Covid-19 vaccine doses arrived from the United States on Monday as part of an effort to help vaccinate 70% of Thailand's population.
The US embassy in Bangkok announced that the flight had arrived in the kingdom on Monday afternoon.
Michael Heath, the Charge d'Affaires of the US embassy, said it was the second batch of mRNA vaccines after 1.5 million Pfizer doses were delivered in July.

The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth
China will be . . . spewing.
OhWoe will cut and paste a Global News article talking about Guantanamo and sabang will highlight the number of countries the US has invaded in the last fifty years compared to China and Russia.
I had a Moderna booster injection yesterday morning. A bit of a sore upper arm is all that I notice from this one. Some Tylenol as been taking care of it.
Got my 2nd Pfizer this morning, same mild hallucinations as the first one. Hopefully that's all.
Can someone share the link to the website/app where you can get your certs please?
Have you downloaded the MorProm application?
Once you've put your vaccination data in there, you should be able to generate the certificate.
If you want the Yellow Book that's a bit more complicated and probably depends where you are.
Vaccine certificates available via app
This one or MorChana?
Surely the "vaccination data" is the ID number. I didn't have that number before I was vaccinated.
I think because it's 13 digits there is some confusion with the Pink Card.
Fuctifino, here in the sandpit we just turned up with the national ID and gave them our phone number.
Thereafter, you installed their version of "Mor Prom", banged in your ID number and it sent you an SMS to verify. After that, a nice screen showing your status that would reveal your jabs, and if needed generate a nice certificate with QR code which is what I submitted to ThailandPass.
I had 2 shots of AZ about 6 months go in Laos (donated by EU countries, thank-you very much!)
In the run-up to leaving Laos to go live in Turkey, I had to prepare a 1 inch thick list of documents:
- proof of my Covid vaccination and English translation
- document from village head stating that I lived in the village and had been vaccinated
- document from the village head giving me permission to venture outside the village
- document from my employer giving me permission to leave Laos
- document from the British embassy requesting that I be allowed to leave Laos
- document from the Covid task force in Luang Prabang giving me permission to travel to Vientiane
- document from Vientiane allowing me to enter Vientiane
- PCR certificate from Lao health authority with my negative status.
- QR stamp from Turkish health authority allowing me to enter the country.
- Evidence of booked hotel in VTE.
- Flight tickets and copies etc
So I fly out from Vientiane, having had all these documents checked. I transfer in KL with multiple checks again.
I finally fly into Istanbul airport and present all these Covid documents at customs.
"I don't need any of those, just your passport...welcome to Turkey!!"
Groping women when you're old is fine - everyone thinks you're senile
You have a well-organized mind, Simon.
Quite eccentric, but well-organized.
