@topper - my mom's vax card uses the same form as yours. She got her 2nd dose in July. Mine looks a bit different - just half the size of that and more colorful.

I suggest that you get your vax card laminated (for protection) and that you get a schedule/ apply for the yellow ICV card soonest, especially if you plan to travel abroad.

In Metro Manila, you can't enter malls, supermarkets, cinemas, gyms or eat at restos if you're not fully vaccinated. I think it will be the norm in the whole country when more people have been jabbed. In the news tonight, they discussed the "no vaccine, no pay" suggested rule for local workers.

I haven't applied for the ICV but I've heard that in some places the wait time is 6 weeks. In other places, the open slots start to appear in January (none for this year).

If you travel abroad, you'll need the vaxcertph or the yellow ICV. Check if vaxcertph already works for your region.

in the past couple of months i have had the seasonal flu, the pneumonia and the 3rd covid (pfizer booster) jab.

the nhs qr code is only valid for a month, you need to download a new one every month.

@malmomike - I've heard of recent travellers from the UK who went home to PH. Their NHS digital certs + cards were accepted, so yes they work. I think it depends on the destination country (if they'll accept it). UK & PH have a reciprocal agreement to accept each other's digital certs. I've also heard of the EU digital pass being accepted here in PH.

@topper - the problem with vaxcertph is that it's not yet available for most regions. I know of someone who was vaccinated in June & she lives in Region 4A (near Manila). She tried it and it said "no record found". From what I understand, the software or database has to be ready, then the local govt ppl need to upload the records into the system. I looked at the BOQ ICV site & there's a link for Bacolod already. Card costs Php 370. Vaxcertph is free (but not yet available). Hah!

Btw, TH is in the yellow list of PH. As of now, if coming from a yellow country the traveler has to quarantine for 6D in a govt approved hotel. Testing is done on the 5th day and release is on the 6th (for vaxxed). For unvaxxed, hotel quarantine is 8D plus home quarantine until the 14th day.

For a PH citizen going out on tourism, the requirements are: return ticket, proof of accommodation, travel/ health insuramce (must include covid), signed BI declaration/ waiver form, RT-PCR test 72 hours before flight. I don't know if as a foreign national travelling with a PH citizen wife if you'll be required insurance too, but you'll need the other stuff.

For solo travelers, BI can also ask more requirements like proof of finances, cert of employment or business, cert of leave, sponsorship letter, etc. They're asking more papers now (especially if going out as tourist). I guess the govt wants to make sure that the traveler has enough $$ in case he/ she gets stranded in another country due to changing rules.

For re-entry to PH, you'll need proof of Q hotel booking. Vaxcertph or BOQ ICV needed if you want to be considered as fully vaxxed & avail of shorter quarantine. You also need to register for the One Health Pass (QR code) and download the Traze App (contact tracing). That's for now - things may change.

For me, I'll wait until the requirements ease up.

Daughter #2 getting her first Pfizer on Wednesday at her Chanthaburi school, and told #2 will also be Pfizer.
Mrs P had her second jab two weeks ago, first was Sinovac, followed by AstraZeneca.
    Crazy mix and match system.

    You're welcome!

Btw if you travel while covid restrictions are still in place in PH and you still don't have a 13A visa, you will need to travel with your wife & your marriage certificate (PSA or apostilled) to re-enter PH.

The first lot of half a million doses of the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine will arrive in Thailand in two weeks, raising the question how they will be allocated between the two buyers.

ZP Therapeutics Co, a unit under Zuellig Pharma, issued a statement on Saturday on the update. The first shipment of 560,000 doses would arrive "no later than Nov 5", read the statement.

This was the first time a specific date was given regarding the long-awaited delivery. Previously, the company broadly estimated its deliveries by quarter.

The firm also confirmed a total of 1.9 million doses would be delivered in the fourth quarter of this year. Another 6.8 million doses would arrive in the first quarter of next year, it said.

The American company also said it had applied to register a US-based manufacturing facility with Thailand's Food and Drug Administration on Oct 20 to ensure uninterrupted deliveries of the vaccine to the country.

Moderna shots to arrive in 2 weeks
Well that won't please a certain "influential person".

Perfect timing: I reserved Moderna at Sukhumvit Hospital earlier this year.

Had my 2 Pfizers at Samativej, and apparently, you should wait at least 2 months before a booster.

    He's double vaccinated.

    Kids are low risk.

If you think he might ever lose his job in Bangkok then, in the spirit of your current persona, I respectfully disagree.

^ i have no idea. All i am saying is that to state he won't take a booster is a bit silly when you don't know what the rules surrounding a vaccination programme will be. Not interested in a fight or second guessing, just my opinion. I will gladly accept the booster when it becomes available to me shortly.

    Me too.

In fact I'll look out for it and probably have to pay for it, which is fine.

But someone who's double vaccd and feels they're now done with it is probably done with it.

^ i'd pay too if i had to, weighing £100 or whatever against almost guaranteeing you won't die of COVID is just about the best £100 you'll ever spend.

Pretty sure Pfizer gets me into the UK, not that I'm planning on it. Under current rules I am classed as "fully vaccinated" so there is no need for me to get a booster. The Sinovac crowd have been offered it (AZ) but not forced to.

Back in school this week too after an ATK test. Currently studying hard for it.
I'd like to see what morning looks like
Don't wanna drink pint after pint
I wanna wake up without feeling sick
    But I can't cuz I'm a drug-abusing alcoholic

If the rules change and require me to get it, I'll get it. But I'm not going above and beyond until I need to.
