how does that work then.My Welsh mate had his first shot of Sinovac this afternoon in Korat.
i keep reading that vaccines will not be available for the general public until june, apart from a couple of areas where there have been severe outbreaks, and then only for thais, and that farangs will be at the end of the queue.
Well, to follow up, I was registered in the system yesterday, and I have an appointment to go get my first shot tomorrow morning.
Will update again tomorrow after I see if there is a problem at the last stage (rucking up and getting jabbed).
All foreign parents at my daughter's school were offered Sinovac jabs as part of the staff Covid vaccination programme. The offer was only for foreign parents and I have no idea how they arranged it. Rightly or wrongly I declined, choosing to wait for a Western vaccine.
They must be worried about losing school fees if the Westerners start dying off.
thanks for the explanation.
i think you are wise to wait for a better vaccine. e.g. az, pfizer or moderna.
personally i wouldnt feel at all protected with the chinese vaccine.
Get my second vaccine today.
Wonder if I'll get the shivers like the first time.
Like many a day after the booze...Tomorrow is cancelled.
Its knocked me back again. Woe is me.
I shouldn't have got plastered after the vaccine yesterday.
Feeling like I have a very high temperature but dont have a thermometer.
Eyes are burning and feeling frail.
They changed their questioning yesterday to include "Have you ever suffered from blood clots".
Oh well, should be good tomorrow after a day on the Lemsip and a dozen or so Get well soon greens.
^ Repo sent. Get better soon.
^ Cheers mate.
Any chance of a crowd funder for my loss of a days work?
Do they do Comic Relief in Germany?
^ Get well green owed!
So, to update, that all went swimmingly. Got up early drove across most of Bangkok to get the the place I was registered at, registration OK, me being a farang no problem, so all good to go....
....except, they had run out (before 11 am) of the AstraZeneca vaccine. Did I want the Sinovac? - nope. Would I like to talk to a Doc to convince me to take the Sinovac? - Nope.
Would I like an sms informing me when they had stocks of the AstraZeneca vaccine so I could go back later - Yup.
The set up looked efficient, well run and with good staff. Except for the whole - we have no vaccine for you malarky, it was pretty good.
they had run out (before 11 am) of the AstraZeneca vaccine

Looks like the prime minister got your dose today.
^^ Nidhogg did you talk to your doctor about the vaccines and any risk to your health due to underlying conditions before signing up to have the vaccine
*beep*
I had a big fat shot of AZ a couple of weeks ago.
Felt ropey for a few days, but I'm now micro-chipped and standing by to do Bozzer's bidding whenever activated.

myself with so many problems,eg.new heart valve,by-pass sugery, epilepsy,nauser,hiatus-hernia,so i have to take a lot of medication every day, including warfarin for life so as these vacines have never been tested for any interactions with my meds,[having had one scare before, its a BIG NO NO] its lock down for me.
Second jab of Pfiser today, delivered to my place of residence by a not unattractive nurse.
Free at last.
I also have several co-morbities but no problems with the jabs.
