The forum has been taken over by The Mutt Pack. You, Cujo, were at various times behaving like one of them but you seem to not be currently identifying with that role.

Nowadays it seems that the know-it-all Panama Hat, the low-level alcoholic and demented troll KW, self-righteous dumbfuk AO, and narcissist / psychopath troll Ant, backed up by their mod friend Nasty Nev, have stunted a lot of conversation but are all too stupid to see how they have ruined the forum.

YourDaddy, being a bit slow, started up an 'add to the story' thread the other day about a bloke who gets a girlfriend from a rental agency.

One poster added the usual tired tropes about buffaloes etc.

Nobody else could be arsed.

It was a classic example of a thread that would have run and run a decade ago, but now the subject has been done to death.

TD is now firmly in its 'Only staying together for the kids' phase.

Stickman has stopped blogging because they weren't going to pay him anymore.

With how difficult it is to post photos and the likelihood that it'll turn into a shit fest within a couple of posts it's really not worth it.

You just have to look back at brilliant posters that don't post anymore, such as Luigi.

Lots of great travel threads, food threads etc. A great contributor, and what did he get, looking back, every great photo thread he did had maanaam calling his partner a whore and Dillinger calling him a pedo. :/

That has always been my favorite section. It has been declining in content but I think its more about people do not want to take the time to take pics, talk about their trial and tribulations as there are quite a few that seem to constantly derail threads.

I always respect constructive criticism but some drive it to almost personal. But to Cyrille's point the membership on this site has fallen off dramatically and many do not live in Thailand and just visit so many just do not want to engage. Of course this nonsense of multi nics and game playing has reached an all time high as well.

I didn't post anything like that and you seem to have a bit of a bug up your arse about people not being currently resident in Thailand, for some reason.

Last time I tried it was constantly derailed and trolled hard by the likes of Latin-I'm-Gonna-Irony-Free-Accuse-You-Of-Ruining-The-Forum!-dancer and stroller.

That and most my projects since have been quite small and uniteresting.

This forum has taken a nosedive and seems like most people have left. This place in particular has always been (since dog died) a complete free for all in every section. Cant blame people for not wanting to invest their time in creating content for the 10 or so active people on here that cant stop fighting.

Forums in general are dying and Twitter/FB etc have taken over. Alot more people and way easier to create content.

I don't think many people are building here anymore either (on their own) like it used to be. Years ago land was alot cheaper and it was cost effective to build, nowadays in alot of places you can buy quicker and easier than building.

I still do almost all of my own projects but quit using forums for info. Everythings already been discussed at length.

Theres a ton of expats in Thailand but probably only about 50 or so that actively post across all the main thailand forums.

I apologize if I mis quoted you. I remember in another thread many of us agreed membership had fallen off.

As for above, I have no bug in my ass about it. But there are many that are quite opinionated about Thailand and what goes on here for not living here. All the other stuff is just an 'add-on' about whichever group is different to the group the person posting is in.

And ironically the person posting usually mentions the problem of posters being too tribal as well.
