    Speaking of which ...

1992: Swiss vote by 50.3% to 49.7% against joining European Economic Area - first step towards EU membership

1992-2002: Switzerland negotiates, then signs first bilateral agreements with EU - they are interdependent, and include free movement of people - backed by vote in 2000

2005: Swiss vote to join Europe's Schengen open borders treaty and extend free movement to 10 new EU states

2009: Vote to extend freedom of movement to new EU members Romania and Bulgaria

2014: Swiss narrowly back quotas on EU workers, effectively ending free movement

What a discovery that changes everything...

To stop the motor in CH is practised more than 20 years. And the fines are also enforced (somehow) when the driver is not disciplined enough - what's quite rare in CH...

Actually, also in Germany (are they in EU?) it's practised over quite a long time, with large side boards at the intersections ("Bei Stau Motor abstellen"), although without the fines - so far...

His problem is that he has to google everything, but he's illiterate.

It's an endearing and amusing combination.

As far as I remember this is enforced in the tunnels rather than anywhere else. Certainly never had trouble in Switzerland with my car, which does not cut out when stopped. I can't recall seeing the signs in Germany or Austria but they may have them at the entrance to longer tunnels.

^ Wow. That is amazing. The cheese heads got it figured out. North American traffic engineers are living in the stone ages. We really have the most unintelligent system possible.

It is just astounding that we don't change anything when there's a 69% higher accident rate with pedestrians when cars are turning right

It has to be that way to cope with the lowest common denominator, i.e. stupid arrogant fuckwits like you, who invariably insist that they know better, when the truth is, they do not

Just this morning you are on a streak of idiocy that is hard to beat. In fact since you are trying so hard lets give you a prize.

Bangkok could use some of these. Ramp lights that artificially reduce the amount of cars that can get on the highway.
