One little thing makes me wonder how it got here!

It's a .45 Auto cartridge I picked up by the water tank next to the shed. It was amongst the crushed blue metal I spread a couple of years ago. It's old. Maybe it came from the blue metal quarry with the crushed blue metal I had spread??? No-one around here has a .45 Auto. Pors old pistol was a .38 Special... The quarry is over near the South side of Thung Salaeng Luang National park about 25km from here. Maybe someone over there had a .45 Auto back in the day? On the other hand it maybe back in the 60's and 70's the insurgents that lived in the national park had that calibre hand gun...the army did at that time.

Can we put it down to an unsolvable mystery? Most likely.

Cool they have the weapon and casings, and they just wanted to tie it to the murderer. Now you have your fingerprints and DNA all over corroborating evidence that they left for you in the sting operation.

There will probably be a dawn raid.

My suggestion would be to quickly hide it in a bodily orifice of his choice.

At the time that the US military had a presence in LOS the standard issue sidearm the M1911 aka old slabsides used and still uses that cartridge. So most likely it was from some old GI or Airmen who was careless with his sidearm.

Interesting. If the cops want me they can come now. I am laying in bed upstairs catching up on the forum posts I been following here and there. Tell em to knock 3 times and wait 20 seconds before bursting in and that ill give me time to put some undies on! Can't welcome them properly with a bare bum

It is a bullet manufactured in Thailand by Thai Arms, a company located in Chatuchak/Jatujak, Bangkok.

    According to Wiki:
"One of the most popular police pistols is the M1911A1 .45 ACP pistol which can be found readily and relatively cheaply in Thailand"
"Thai M1911A1 pistols produced under license; locally known as the Type 86 pistol (ปพ.86)
    ."
"The Royal Thai Army and Royal Thai Police uses the Type 86, the Thai copy of the M1911 chambered in the .45 ACP round"

So it probably came from a Thai police officer/firearm.

I'll hazard a guess that the 06 on the headstamp of GJ's photo [.45 Auto-06] is the date of manufacture - 2006.

As Lom posted above, Thai Arms Co. did not exist in 2506.

    Thanks for the update guys.

It's a bit of a pain for us foreigners...we are not allowed to buy a handgun or a long arm.

But we found out later the wife can! But their is a mountain of BS to get through all the same.
