    Saying Hello.

I just wanted to drop in and wish you all a wonderful and happy 2021. I'm alive and well and still residing in the Okanogan here in B.C.. I'm long home from my years in Thailand and you'd be surprised at how often I wonder why the hell I ever left, I had forgotten the true joys of the Canadian winter. Anywhere take care all. Wish me well.

Cluezo-- I got you're mail but couldn't open it. Anyway only wanted to know if you were alive and kicking, which certainly you seem to be.

I wonder if any of the old Ajarn people are still around here. Likely very few.

    Take care guys and gals.
A true diplomat is a person who can tell you to go to hell in such a manner that you will be asking for directions.

If you must be in a Canadian winter the Okanogan valley would be my first choice.

Afraid not many of the long time members left. Think only 1 or 2 former arjarn folks occasionally visit.

I've lived in Penticton, Kelowna, and Vernon beautiful country and climate. My last 8 years in Canada were in Sicamous where I had a small printshop. Coming from the prairies the Okanogan winters were a delight.

In BC, it pisses rain from about October 1st to July 15th. Why did you leave Thailand and come back to the sticks ?

My mother's family immigrated when she was quite young and she did not remember Canadian winters, but my aunts told me stories of being fed a spoonful of Grannie's medicine every morning before walking backwards to school. The wind was too cold for them to face it.

Years later, my oldest aunt was amazed when she drank her first Hot Toddy. It was Grannie's medicine!
