I think Trump will try to pardon himself before he leaves office and will therefore serve no time in jail. But even if he doesn't pardon himself, I still believe Trump will not serve any jail time for the events in the capitol yesterday.

Even if baldy orange loser COULD pardon himself, he can only do that for Federal crimes.

He can't avoid criminal charges in the District of New York

There was no anger in my post at all. It merely stated Manson's charges. I even apologised for pulling the rug from under his great theory.

You really ought to consider winding your neck in instead of intruding on a civil conversation and trying to start fights, you wittering fuckwit.

He is not a detail person and he is not a good listener. He has access to good legal advice but he probably still thinks he is all powerful. He should be worroed.
Of course, a cornered dog is a vicious fighter.

As the Australian Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, said [yesterday?], "it's sometimes not a fair world".

    Indeed.
Regardless of the numerous criminal/civil charges and judgement that will befall him [and his turgid associations] in the coming months and years, a better chance that he'll never see prison time.
Just because of who he is or has been - the circles of influence he keeps.
Folks of this realm don't go to jail......they find a way to wiggle outta the usual high unjust and corrupted systems.
    It's a class privilege thing.

That's the way it is everywhere.

Now you are going off the rails expecting common sense in this forum. If any of us had common sense we would not be here.

By the way , you analysis is spot on except for an important distinction, Manson only had 50 idiots following him.

I agree with you, LT. Trump should serve time in jail... sadly though, I don't think this will happen.
The dems are thinking of trying to get him booted sooner than later, and the senate is talking about impeachment which to me would take too long. If he was impeached, it would be a great thing because then he wouldn't be allowed to run in four years and he'd stop talking about it.

I hope something is done to get him out of office asap.. before his end of term if possible. Who knows what else he could pull.. he has the buttons to the nukes!!

There is only one punishment for inciting a riot and insurrection. It's the death penalty, which I hope is by firing squad. As any good Republican would say, we have to make an example out of these people.

Now, a civil lawsuit from the victims' families, that's a very much different story. I'd be surprised if a jury wouldn't find him at least partially responsible for the deaths, plus that would hit him where it hurts.

And it won't stop the State prosecutors looking at his other crimes.

Remember they couldn't nail Al Capone for anything until he dodged his taxes.

I agree, and think that this is exactly what is going to happen.

I see that Nancy Pelosi is so concerned about the damage Trump is causing she has contacted relevant national security to make sure Trump does not have access to the Nuclear codes.

With regard to some of the responses to this thread Trump knew what he was doing when he incited his followers to become mob soldiers causing mayhem and ultimately death.

This event was predicted weeks ago and it happened.

Now republican senators are publicly stating they want Trump out NOW and before he creates more damage and possible death to innocent people.

Trump should be arrested now and join the other domestic terrorists who were arrested on the fateful day in D.C

I understand what LT is saying . . . he is comparing culpability and he is right to a certain extent, en gros. In detail obviously not.

The orange afterbirth is culpable of incitement to riot/commit crimes with death, just like even being a driver at a crime which included death - same. An accessory.
