That's right. Tried it once, didn't like it. It might take an hour or so, depending on what's on your stomach, and then a moderate dose can make you feel like you're losing your mind.

In this lamentable state, in my teenage years, I once had to explain to my mother, who had visited unexpectedly, why she couldn't have one of the many cakes sitting on the table, while avoiding anything resembling the truth. Don't do drugs, kids.*

    * Do, though.

    It's not worth the risk.

I see mushrooms are coming along the same way. I considered investing in Silo wellness when they were starting up. I probably should have, they've now built retreats in Oregon and Jamaica, where they offer psychedelic experiences and even treatments for conditions like PTSD. Mushroom and Ketamine programmes etc.

I still get their news letters, but you can read more on their site.

I have a Cannabis dispensary almost across the road from me, but haven't been in it. I don't really care to try it at this point. My friend has tried the chocolate with THC and warns to not take much as with edibles you won't feel the buzz right away and if you take too much you'll be out of it especially if you aren't used to taking THC. There are three stores in my small city and they always have lineups. Must be a big thing in Vancouver as well.

The actual CBD oil with only trace amounts of THC does have a slight calming effect. Its very subtle but its there. I am gonna go back to the store and buy some stronger stuff next. Maybe some with THC as well. I am just using it to relax before bed

yes marijuana has been a big thing here for a long time. We've had a bulldog cafe in Vancouver for years. Its been defacto legal in that part of the city since the mid 2000's

Okay, I didn't realize that. I know many take it for pain relief. I do know that pot has a calming effect for many as my brother is very addicted (he smoke it) and he uses it to calm him down as he has high anxiety. He is a bear and high strung without. Try the oil with a bit more THC before bed or edibles it should help you sleep.

I'd say so for sure. He was freaking out a few days ago he had run out and he said without he is so anxious and everything makes him upset. So, I'd say he is psychologically addicted and probably physically as well. He doesn't take meds, so the next best thing? He has eczema all over due to anxiety so.. he uses pot to relax him and keep him in a mellow/dopey state. Sad I think. I'm sure smoking pot isn't good for the lungs.

If he mixes it with tobacco when he rolls his joints, it's most likely the tobacco he's "addicted" to.

I'm a regular customer at my local government dispensary where I buy both high concentration THC and 90 percent CBD rechargeable cartridges. These are little containers of concentrate plus a battery pack. I also use CBD oil 100 percent as well as cookies which are a tad of a novelty.

I would say the product is good although all very much overpriced. On the plus side it's tidy and clean with good mix and match possibilities. I still have good connections for "dark" marijuana (off the net stuff) It's about fourty percent cheaper than the commercial stuff. I wouldn't say my habit is breaking the bank. I average $100 month all together. As I don't drink any longer I think it's quite reasonable.

The main benefits of the cartridges is that they are no smell which is what I need living in an apartment.

I went for years not being able to smoke marijuana because it made me instantly paranoid. With the cartridges I'm slowly getting past this.

The other thing I like most about the system is that I'm able to deliver to myself any combination of THC and CBD I wish.

    Cheers

^ I quite marijuana because it started to get me paranoid too. After smoking it rather heavily for 2-3 years. Me and a friend would bogue a couple times a week in a vehicle in a parking lot. Not much else to do in the suburban hellscapes of N.America.

Which one of the burbs are you in ?

If it's Surrey my condolences go in your direction.

    In terms of the pot...........

I find that there is a big difference between 10 % THC and zero percent THC. The pure CBO is a unique product and hard to find in a smoke. I special ordered some in and it took them 5 wks to find a supplier (this is a government store).

If there is anybody who gets seriously angst out after a very minor single puff, that would be yours truly. The 100 percent stuff is a high class anxiety killer. The ninety percent does not work, at least for me.

If you are looking in Vancouver for the 100 percent stuff it's the CBD Vape Cartridge by a company called Purefarma Earth.

    It's not kicked in yet.
I'm hoping it'll get me off the booze and help me sleep.
Gonna give it a months trial 3 drops x 3 times day.

Surrey gets a lot grief. But there's a reason I always say N. America. They are all basically the same. Surrey is close to a world class city like Vancouver.

Surrey is like the French Riviera compared to say Everett Washington.

    Feeling quite mellow now.

It helped me sleep. But I got used to the pure CBD and moved onto something with a bit of THC as well.

The pure CBD is a bit too subtle after awhile.

It doesn't feel subtle at the moment, I feel drowsy even though that's not supposed to be a side effect.

Is CBD oil legal in the UK?
Yes. There have been some rumours and some misinformation floating around for a while. However, as of the year 2021, CBD oil is legal in the United Kingdom market as long as you buy from a compliant brand like Vibes CBD or Blessed CBD. So, if this is your first time trying CBD, then you can try with ease, knowing that it is 100% legal.

However, note this is only speaking of CBD products that contain no or very little THC (less than 0.2%). CBD products can contain a certain amount of THC, but any products with more THC than the limit are illegal. Read all the labels and instructions carefully on your CBD oil, CBD vape pens and CBD e-liquids, CBD capsules, and other forms of CBD products to ensure that the THC content is within the legal limits. Products must also be sold as a health or food supplement, and cannot be advertised as a medicine.

The FSA (Food Standards Agency) has now also set a deadline for CBD brands to apply for a valid novel foods license in order to remain in the market. As of March 2021, CBD brands in the UK (both online and in high street stores) must comply with the latest regulations set by the FSA.

Cannabis oil (which contains a low amount of CBD content and high contents of THC) are still illegal in the UK. This is not to be confused with authentic and organic CBD oil. Medical marijuana is sometimes prescribed in the UK, but only in rare circumstances. At the moment, the only FDA (Food and Drug administration) approved CBD medicine is Epidiolex in the United States.

What are the potential side effects of CBD?
    Nausea

    Headaches

    Stomach pains

What’s the difference between hemp oil and CBD oil?
Hemp oil is made from the oil of the grown hemp plant. Most people confuse it with hemp CBD oil, but they are different oils. Confusion stems from how they share some similarities. The source of the oil makes these oils different, nonetheless. Hemp oil comes from the seeds of the hemp plant/Cannabis Sativa plant. CBD oil, on the other hand, uses the flower, leaves, and stalks (the good stuff).

Hemp oil is great because it nourishes the skin and helps with fine lines and wrinkles. The oleic acids and the linoleic acids found in hemp oil are not produced naturally by our bodies but they, in turn, play a very important role in our skin health. Many people prefer organic hemp if they are going to be using it on their skin.

CBD Oil UK — frequently asked questions
Despite CBD oil being such a hot sale in the UK’s wellness market today, there is so much about the CBD world that most people do not know. Even those that work in the industry might not know everything there is to know about CBD. With that in mind, do not feel bad if you are confused about different CBD-related topics or questions.

Down below, we have a list of some of the most frequently asked questions.

What is Tetrahydrocannabinol?/Is it the same thing as THC?

THC is short for tetrahydrocannabinol. It is one of the cannabinoids found in the Cannabis Sativa plant. There are 113 known cannabinoids to date (examples are CBD, CBDA, CBG, CBDV). THC is known for its psychoactive properties. It is what gets you high when you smoke marijuana. Some CBD oil comes with minimal amounts of THC. Many people love THC in their CBD oil because they like the effect it gives (entourage effect) them while others do not. It honestly depends on you and your preference.

    Is THC a cannabinoid?

Yes, THC is one of many cannabinoids. Cannabinoids are compounds found in cannabis. The most well-known cannabinoid is the phytocannabinoid tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC. This cannabinoid is the primary psychoactive compound found in the cannabis plant/hemp plant. A CBD product with high THC content will cause you to fail a drug test, so always look for THC-free CBD oils.

    What is Cannabidiol (CBD)?

Scientists discovered Cannabidiol, a phytocannabinoid, in 1940. Cannabidiol makes up for up to 40% of the plant's hemp extract (the amount is not certain).

    What is the terpenes/terpene profile?

Terpenes are aromatic oils found in older Cannabis sativa buds. Each terpene has a different aroma and flavour. When researchers were studying terpenes, they suggested that these oils may offer potent benefits aside from scent and taste. Look at the third-party lab results of the product to check for the terpene profile and other fatty acids.

What exactly are flavonoids? Are flavonoids specific to CBD?

Flavonoids are the compounds found in plants that give them their specific colour, filter out damaging UV rays, and protect the plant from diseases. They are not specific to CBD and should not be confused with additives.

Is the entourage effect real? Or is it a placebo effect?

The entourage effect is real. It occurs when other compounds aside from THC (known for its psychoactive effects) band together to create the synergy effect. For some people, they feel it stronger than others. Nevertheless, it is a real thing that allows you to improve the impact of the potential health benefits of CBD.

What are the extraction methods for CBD oil? Which one is the best?

There are three main extraction methods (as of now): CO2 extraction process, low pressure ethanol extraction process, and olive oil extraction method. The CO2 extraction method is the best because it is safer and more potent, though it is also more expensive.

    What is a CBD isolate?

It is a type of cannabidiol that does not contain THC or other cannabinoids.

What is CBDA? What does it stand for?

CBDA (cannabidiolic acid) is one of many compounds produced by cannabis and hemp. Other cannabinoids include CBG and CBC.

    Should you buy CBD oils?
CBD oil seems to have a lot of benefits (while also giving some side effects to some people who combine it with other medications), but it does not mean that it is for everyone. Some people experience non-beneficial side effects. To figure out which CBD products are for you, you should start with a small dosage and then work your way up. If you find that even a small amount does not sit well with you, then you can try another form of CBD that is not as concentrated.

You can also do a bit more research on the endocannabinoid system itself and learn more about the CBD products you are choosing to buy. In turn, learning about other methods such as vaping can also be fun and interesting. Always opt for trustworthy brands, however, such as the ones listed above, to ensure safe products.

As the CBD wellness trend continues to soar in 2021, and with the Covid situation ongoing, will you be trying CBD oil this year?
    Shalom
