    Storms

I love storms, big, seething behemoths rising out of the sea with lightning and gale-force winds that no-one can stop... and I'm directly in the path of one:

    Storm warning

This is a warning that potentially damaging winds are expected...

A very vigorous storm system with tropical origin will move toward the south coast in the early morning hours of Thursday bringing very strong southeasterly winds to the south coast... of 50 to 90 km/h...

Hmmm, "tropical origin." Perhaps Thailand is blowing me a kiss

Already I can hear it brewing outside (it's 1 am)... lots of leaves blowing around... could be a long night!

Local weather nerds discussing tornado warnings and lightning in real time chat:

MyFox Storm | Birmingham Weather | Alabama Weather

There's also a streaming commentator with a live animated map warning where tornadoes may touch down.

Anyway I always do this when a line of supercells form; this is the second time this winter...

I heard on TV 2 days ago that this global warming is the coolest the earth has been in many years, and it has caused the coolest summer in Sydney ever, 31*C this year and usually runs in the low 40*C range... Poor ol Al Gore, maybe thats why we ain't seen Ray C, he either over with Al or Maybe on OKY Is, stirring up the japs.

Yeah, saw a similar program. The global warming troops are now claiming we should all expect things to get colder because of the effects of global warming.

^ How about at the poles? Is the temperature going up or down? (Hint: they're melting...) Care to explain why?

Great coverage right now of many supercells bearing down on Atlanta. CNN has a doppler feature that shows the 3D shape of each storm. Tornadoes touching down in Georgia and points east but I can't get any live video from any stormchasers in the area...
