    Black Friday Bollocks

Before you go "Bargain Hunting" on Friday...

Black Friday: Nearly nine out of 10 deals were the same price or cheaper earlier in the year

Nearly nine out of 10 Black Friday deals could be found at the same price or cheaper earlier in the year, according to analysis.

Consumer group Which? looked at the prices of 219 popular home and tech products for six months before Black Friday 2019 and six months after.

These included products from Amazon, AO.com, Argos, Currys PC World and John Lewis.

The analysis found that 85% could be found cheaper or the same price in the six months before.

Only three of the 219 items were at their cheapest price on Black Friday.

Among the examples, was a set of Bose headphones at Currys PC World - sold for £249 on Black Friday but cheaper or the same price on at least 15 occasions in the six months prior.

At John Lewis, a De'Longhi coffee machine cost £1,285 in the Black Friday sale, but it had been the same price or less on at least 35 occasions in the six months before, falling to less than £1,200 on several days in May and June 2019.

This Black Friday deal has been the biggest consumerism scam ever invented and it continues to draw the lemmings in by the masses. Many places show HUGE sales, bargain basement prices but unless you read the fine print most of the time they say in fine print. "While supplies last, no rainchecks" which means they have 1 or 2 at that price and they were gone the minute the door opened if not purchased by employees beforehand.

You can find way better deals throughout the year and avoid the idiocrasy of people sleeping outside the doors the night before and then killing each other when the door opens or the fist fights in the store. As for online, who wants to be up at Midnight to order something?

Comes back around to those who are overly conscious toward these things.

This is what you've become - mindless consumers and accumulators.

    Nothing else.

In fairness HL, People find a myriad ways to enjoy what they go to work for, some its buying things. However signing up for a mass panic consumer event driven by marketing people is silly . That's the Mindless part

If it's used to one's advantage then why not. Our youngest needs new tennis gear; racket, top and skirt etc...

Went to the sporting goods shop last week and had the chosen items put aside for tomorrow. Around eight we'll pop by and ask for our items and check the difference in pricing. If it's good then we buy, what's not we don't.

Not driven by the mania, but if you can benefit from it for your needs . . . then why not

^Exactly. The other half needed some new cosmetics and I needed some more aftershave a few weeks back then we saw Lazada had a sale on (11.11 I think it was called) so we ordered then and saved around 40% in total on what we normally pay for the same items. Used to our advantage, these sales can be great.

Dickhead Jeff would like the rest of us to join his life-long fantasy of living in a cave with nothing more than a few fruit trees and rabbit skin shorts. And a good internet connection, obviously

I have it on good authority that Jeff's finger is hovering over the "Buy Now" button for the "FuckMaster Deluxe Adult 3000 with three fully vibrating orifices".

Would you be so kind as to share the link? I know someone who needs one of those too.
