    Extremely fast Transferwise

    Well, that's a first.

I transferred 500 US at pathetic rate today and 7 seconds later (according to transferwise) they notified me the money is in my Thai bank account.

Logged into SCB and sure enough money was there.

I am shocked hence the post.

Used it for years and have never found a better rate, and believe me I go looking when it's a large sum being moved.

    They are not only fast.

Once I messed up some details on a small transfer. To make sure the money arrived I sent it a second time. While I was still thinking on how to approach them to get that first transfer money back they had already taken corrective action and cleared up the mess by themselves.

    Yup, fantastic company/service.

    Do it Tom.

But if you'd like to try before you buy, you can do it with my account first to see how it goes.

Was your transfer identified in your Thai Bank account as a FTT/Foreign Currency Telegraphic Transfer, or whatever acronym your Thai bank uses?

Yes, I got one recently. Tried it just once to be sure it worked at an etc machine in Thailand. I got a very good exchange rate but the local bank charged me Baht220 for the service.
