Today I woke up to no visa amnesty

It looks like I'm gonna have to leave by September 26th.

Or is there any other way to stay?

    Please advise.

Pretty sure the multiple avenues for anyone of any age to convert to long-term visas are all off the table for now, and the only option left is a letter from one's Embassy saying please let Xxxxx stay in Thailand for another 1 month as they can't return to their home country due to reason yyyyy. Think there might be a way to also get a 1 month extension with a medical certificate too saying Xxxxx cannot fly because yyyyy, but haven't personally heard of anyone having luck with that rort.

I really don't know, but do know I'd have had a long-term visa sorted out one way or another months ago if I wasn't prepared to leave when this time come. And it was always going to come...

Can't imagine the embassies getting an extension letter out in time at this stage.

The likely only option for someone now would probably be a Not fit to fly note from a Thai government hospital used to get a 30 day extension.

Either way, I wouldn't fancy being in the queue at an immigration office this morning.

They are, well some of them are. Just yesterday I read online of someone with a UK passport who'd got the letter and extending for a month successfully. Can't see that being any sort of a long-term fix though (yeah fuck going to the Embassy in BKK once a month then getting in the queue at Immigration and who knows when that loophole might close) but my sympathy level isn't high for anyone who's gone into panic now mode after having had 6+ months to get their shit together.

Back when Covid kicked off my visa was about to expire and the British Embassy sent me a letter by email which Immigration had told me they would accept because of the unusual circumstances. In the end I didn't use it, I went another route.
Anyway, that only kicks the can down the road by 30 days. The OP has already had at least 30 days' notice. Too busy with Tik Tok, I guess.

Get the 'too sick to travel' letter today and get your wife to push you to Immigration in a wheelchair tomorrow. Then sort out that marriage visa.

Or overstay, eventually get arrested, fined, deported and blacklisted.

^Yeah there's that, and the answer is it's not easy from what I've read.

So now there's something like 150,000 people who are all going to fly out this week? Yeah right.

Don't worry about it, this is Thailand's cunning plan to attract visitors, force the incoming into quarantine and add hoops for those already here to stay, which is guaranteed to have them queuing at airports worldwide.

Thailand needs farangs, so you're helping the country by leaving, if you can get a flight, otherwise your overstay fines I'm sure will be used well.

After the fine and imprisonment come deportation and blacklisting. You still have to pay for the deportation flight. Time to get out of Dodge.

I do have some sympathy for those who thought another extension might come. Immigration told me in late March that my only choice was to leave Thailand, that there were no special arrangements for Covid. Then a few days later that changed. However, to be fair, Immigration have very publicly made the 26th a final deadline.

Last option, visit one of the visa agents. Some have their own ways to do. Not a recommendation. Just saying.
