    Sending cash to the UK

A friend has done me a favor and bought a birthday present for her. She's actually requested a donation to a charity.
So, a mate in the UK has kindly given her the money.
So now I need to send a hundred quid to the UK.
My initial thought, as simplistic an I am was to post it in a regular post thingy.
When I mentioned this to the Boss she was extremely disapproving.

    "They steal everything"

So, what's the safest cheapest way to transfer cash/money to the UK.

I stopped using British banking a long time ago

    Cheers

This may be me, but I have read this 3 times now and still do not fully comprehend.

Hope someone will chip-in and help.

If you want to send 100 quid to a UK bank account. Get a Thai with SCB online banking / SCB Easy app to send an international transfer. Farangs do not have the capability to do this.

I only say SCB because that is what the wife has, and have successfully sent money to the UK using the phone app.
    Black diamonds? I shit 'em.

Would Western Union work? Never used it myself so I don't know.

I am a farang with an SCB account and online banking. I have an "International Transfer" tab in my menu. It allows me to specify overseas recipients.

    So what do you mean?

It only gives one reason for transfer "Remittance of savings (foreigner only)".

    PayPal as a gift.
Costs nothing and is quick and painless.

^^ Have the phone in my hand.

Open SCB EASY app > banking services > international tranfser > Then it comes up with the message 'We cannot process your request as it did not meet the requirements. We allow only Thai nationality. For enquiry, please contact and SCB branches'.

A pic of the same message I get ripped off the net...

The website also states that it is 'Available only for Thai individuals holding an individual savings account'

International money transfer via the SCB EASY App

If you have mates with a UK bank account give them the baht and they can transfer at the other end, or send registered cash.
