    Show us your bed....

I love beds. There's nothing better than curling up in a comfortable and snug bed, with a hot woman, hot toddy or hot film to watch.

Years ago, I bought a quality double bed in from a top London store. I recall that with the excellent mattress, it cost over 3,000 pounds.

The bed that I use now has some provenance. The carved, hardwood bedframe used to be the day bed of the last king of Luang Prabang - it was acquired by his housekeeper after he was arrested. It fits my 5 feet 7 inch height OK, but would be too short for anyone who is taller.

I sleep downstairs with the windows open for ventilation (there are mozzie nets and ornate bars on the windows, so no fear of being raped in my bed). I can listen to the sound of the boats on the Mekong river, just 200 metres away. I snuggle up with Candi and watch a good film on the flat screen TV at the end of my bed.

Honestly, life is really good when you have a comfy bed

Top of the line Sealy work-bench in king size, can't remember what it cost but it wasn't cheap (47k Baht rings a bell). Totally worth it, super comfortable and will last a life time. That's my doona on the bed and Mrs Worx drags hers out of a cupboard at bedtime, with a bed that size and your own covers getting a good night sleep in without being disturbed is way easier

Sadly I'll be spending around 60 nights in this bed (bunk). Newly made up today specially for this pic!

I know where I'd rather be...

I think some new bedding may be in order when I get home.

Maybe some new underwear for the missus as well!

^But that gentle rocking of sleeping on a ship can't be beaten, more so after a 12++ hour shift!

Not gonna show my bed because it seems a little bit weird to be honest but also because it's a bit shit.

Have been meaning to replace it since forever but never gotten around to it.

Replaced mine last week after 12 years .

I spend a third of my life in it so it's an investment in me.

2000 pocket sprung, gel topper king size.

Accompanied by the Mud pumps pulsing away - pumping 1,000 GPM, don't miss that!
The worse times were when everything went quite, really quiet, no power!
Happier here (small though it be!)

Whatshername was at some resort in Thailand. In the morning she woke and thought about the rest she had while on their bed. It was great. She ordered one and it might be the most comfortable bed I’ve slept on.

    Sleeps goooood!

(Thanks Landreth. I often wonder where I’ll find a mattress in Thailand that is not like sleeping on a box.)

Heavens, your beds put mine to shame! I got used to sleeping on a bare plank of wood when I lived in Yangon. Nowadays, I have a thin 'cushion' mattress, no springs (too thin to have anything inside except some horsehair maybe!). But good for my back...

Now here's a question about your sleeping arrangement I sleep on top of my quilt, with no cover at all. God knows why, but I prefer it that way (and it's not about being too hot either).

Do you curl up under the covers, or bare your .. er .. bare body to the elements like me?

Under a thick doona with the aircon cranked and nothing exposed to the elements from the nose down. The Missus stopped complaining about this arrangement after about 10 years, and seems to enjoy it now too

    Nice bed Snubs...in your dreams

I prefer a flat as paper pillow with a thick duvet in which I can roll myself up like a sausage roll.

No place for scatter cushions on my bed.

A weird thread like this deserves a good troll. Putting pics up of your own bed is just weird.

You should see a picture of a bed that was classed as a work of art at the Tate Modern gallery a few years back.
