Christ, chico disease is spreading.
I usually eat very healthy, though here in Norway the fat bastards eat some real crap,so at moment just salads and meats and nuts and fruit.
shopping here costs an arm and a leg.........
Today was a normal day for me food wise.
Cereal for breakfast. Cream cheese bagel with fruit juice for lunch.
Coffee and cake for tea.
Thats with a gym session and swimming in between.
Experimenting with the convection cooker. Chicken breast wrapped in bacon, white wine sauce and boiled white rice.
Eating takeaway is tempting here. Plenty of Indian and Chinese dishes available, and very cheap too.
Developed a liking for Pandesal, (soft bread rolls) filled with cold meats and beetroot, or back bacon.
Lots of variety, no calorie counting and plenty of exercise.
Cooking for one, in the tropics is not much fun. Not killed anyone with my culinary skills yet, unlike Chico.
You need to avoid drinking the kefir grains, or you'll soon run out of them! So you have to use a sieve to remove the grains, then add them to a new lot of milk. They won't multiply in the fridge - I leave my kefir out in a warm room for 24 hours and then sieve it and repeat. Note that the kefir milk won't go 'bad' if you leave it out for longer, even much longer! It will just get really thicker. I've drunk (eaten?) 7-day old kefir milk.
Groping women when you're old is fine - everyone thinks you're senile
Chico, I've just renewed my business visa, work permit and local ID for another 12 months... (I haven't had contact with any Lao police or immigration officials since I moved here last July, unlike the hoops and hassles for visas and TM30s etc in Thailand).
I'll have to write about my life in Laos. My blood pressure is 100/65 and resting heart rate is typically 45, which is pretty good at 61 years old. Basically, those numbers mean I'm either suffering from low blood pressure and bradycardia, or I'm at zero stress levels! I know which one it is
Our diet is largely a matter of habit. Once you get off the garbage, you can never put it back into your system. I could never put greasy fast food into my mouth without spitting it out. It's utterly repulsive. Even the smell upsets my stomach.

Ye I've heard the same from some people I know.
