It's awful.

I had one with lunch. Thought it was passable and different from the usual swill. But I did only drink one and it was my first beer of the day.

Yeah, I definitely wasn't intrigued by the novelty at any point.

The only novelties Thais are good at are the ones they've perfected over centuries.

Imported barley, purple rice. It is a dark lager. It will only be a novelty if it doesn't last.

I really like it.

Which is odd, as I'm a bit higher on the social ladder than cans of Cheers.

But yeah, nice taste, highly drinkable, never had a head the next morning. Not something I'd pair with food, mind.

Riceberry beer is a novelty.

It's true that if it lasts it will no longer be a novelty.

You would be correct to say 'It will only remain a novelty if it doesn't last'.

Though that is such a statement of the obvious that people might think you're a bit of a nob for saying it.
