    Lucid dreaming and mediation.

Do you meditate ? Have you tried it ? Have you tried lucid dreaming ? It's where you trick your brain into knowing you are dreaming & then doing whatever you want in your dream.

I'm usually not the type that gets into this but it worked a couple times.

Just put this video on through your earbuds and have a comfortable dark place to lay. I had particular success with this video.

My bed turned into a floating aircraft. I hovered out of my house and was about 200 feet up just enjoying the scenery. Then I flew down to the river and mountain and took in the scenery there.

    Seriously try it

Try plastic sheets and / or adult diapers, it might help with that.

Mediation - intervention in a dispute in order to resolve it; arbitration.

I've experienced lucid dreams. A very bizarre experience. Am I dreaming now and my dreams are reality?

If I said what I did in my second lucid dream , nobody would have given the topic a chance at all.

    ^Pooped gold?

JK, good topic. I had one the other day but didn't take advantage of it. I knew I was dreaming but just "decided" to wake up instead of exploring the possibilities.

    Thanks for the video, too.

50 years ago I might have tried that, now just pleased to wake up.

Not easy to explain in a couple of sentences, but do try this because it works, and has got me out of a few strange situations. Most bad dreams are set in darkness, which apparently means something but we have them anyway so let's go with it. If you find yourself in one, ignore what's happening and search for a light switch, that's right (one will usually appear). Then switch the light on; doesn't matter if you're outdoors or flying or in the middle of an ocean, it's a dream. If you can't find a light switch or it doesn't work (it won't), tell yourself in the dream that it's a dream, and you will either lurch into a different setting (maybe another dream, or same but the bogies become less onerous) or continue on the downer but conscious even while asleep that it's just a dream.

I don't know the scientific basis, something to do with perception of light changes.

    Fire away!

Another interesting dream type is sleep paralysis.
It's like lying in a straightjacket under poured concrete.
Kinda like the feeling where you're asleep and have got tangled up in the bedsheets but one where the usual release methods don't work for some strange reason.
The cause is apparently exhaustion plus stress.
Only happened to me a few times from overwork.

I'vehad a few. One I remember the most was I was walkiing down the road towards the house and people were walking down the road with my furniture. When I went into the house I saw my bed was up on planks supported by crates.
I thought fuck this it's too wierd so I got into bed and went to sleep. I woke up again and sat up feeling REALLY heavy thinking man, that was wierd and so real. Then I looked around and my furniture was gone and bed still up on planks supperted by crates. I was like, WTF???? I was sure I was awake, but I was still in the dream. This would have been 30 years or so ago. Haven't had one in a LOOOONG time.

years ago, twice a lucid dream. then I became interested in it. read on the subject, and was once successful on provoking it: set your intent on where you want to go, or what you want to do, write it down on a paper and put it next to your bed and confirm to yourself before sleep. Now the hard part: when you awakening in the morning, do not open your eyes and do not move. That took me 6 mornings to master, but eventually it worked. Got my trip!

That feeling when your mind wakes up and your body is still fully asleep. It's amazing

I think what he thinks is "lucid dreaming" is actually the voices inside his head.

A question asked by Zhuangzi about 2,300 years ago. Still waiting for the answer.

“Once upon a time, I dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of my happiness as a butterfly, unaware that I was myself. Soon I awaked, and there I was, veritably myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly, dreaming I am a man.”

As far as I can discern, butterfly dreams of being smart which apparently is but 1 reg-edit away

I would not vouch for the validity of his dreams
