No. The rock that I bounced off previously , got me to where I'd make that comment. If something turned out differently , I might not have started posting on TD again and I wouldn't have been there to make that comment

But regardless, having bounced of that rock and landed here, of all the things you could have done including not making a comment or making another comment you chose those particular words.
The fact is you have more control over your life than you seem to think and the quicker you realize it the better.
You could have chosen to save and invest the money spent on trips to thailand, hookers, jetskis and motorcycles.
    The choice was yours.
Don't try and blame boomers for your choices.

I probably only blew 25 grand on whores. That wouldn't have moved the needle . And it was the best 25 grand I'll ever spend. I banged whores in Amsterdam when I was 18. Reminds me , I banged whores in Vegas too. I got money from my grandma for a present at Christmas and spent it on whores in Vancouver

Some good, some bad. It's time for you to stop blaming others and decide your own destiny.

That's the typical waspy bourgeois ethic. It sort of implies that the world is reasonable. But it's wrong because there's also people that lose them all.

What a bizzare attitude you have.
In life you make decisions, (unless you're some knob who lets the 8 ball decide for him).
What happens in your life depends on what decisions you make.
Imagine if you'd bought bitcoin with that 25 grand instead of blowing it on hookers.
There was a decision. Blow money on hookers or invest it. YOUR CHOICE.

Reminded me of a book I read years ago supposedly based on fact about a guy who decided that every decision he made would be decided by the dice, since like Socal he believed it was all random anyway.
It was a good read as I recall but the guy ended up a bum.

Fucjikf bullshit ! That wasn't in the cards. Who said I didn't buy Bitcoin ? I was selling drugs on Agora market in 2013/14, just when Bitcoin spiked to $1000. I top ticked it. Then it slid to $200 per coin and my career blew up. So then I spent the Bitcoin on heroin.

All you had to be was in it , to get rich on Bitcoin . I was in it and I STILL lost. Some ppl never win. I ve never had anything go my way investment or career wise in my life. It's all stories like that.

And its nobodies fault. The point just is , you will know if you are one of the chosen ones already. And if you aren't , don't take life too serious and don't try too hard at anything.
Because it will be all for not. It's always the successful business man's son who is making it to pro sports. It's always the retired 35 year old who gets a successful YouTube channel (Dead Farang) They are chosen ones

Life is timing , nothing else. You are a rock rolling down a hill. Read Fooled By Randomness by Nassim Taleb.

I took the win some lose some view for quite awhile. Too bad it just isn't true.

I can't complain about the entertainment I've had in life. I was lucky enough to find myself at the Patpong whore market when I was 22. With no shortage of money. Me and my pal were crushing up and snorting Viagra at Nana Plaza. Part of this was that we were on a Bender. Because we had no meaning or direction

But you get meaning from what you do. I've tried and tried. And it always turns out to be pure shit.

Regret is not the right word, but I hate that I missed seeing Nagaland. A friend of mine and I had a month long trip planned. The yellow shirt protests way back when which closed down the airport caused us to miss our flight. We waited around a few days for a change of the flight but never made it. Now I am too old and lazy to make a hard travel trip like that.

Dog gone Nepal nearly did me in last time I was there!

There now remain places I have not yet traveled too. I will get out there again to those places offering easier travel like Europe.

Fuck Backspin - look around. Your "pure shit" is pure candy to many folk.

Nearly Half the World Lives on Less than $5.50 a Day

"while fewer people live in extreme poverty, almost half the world’s population — 3.4 billion people — still struggles to meet basic needs, the World Bank said.

Living on less than $3.20 per day reflects poverty lines in lower-middle-income countries, while $5.50 a day reflects standards in upper-middle-income countries..."

Everything is a matter or perspective - if you use Gates, Buffet, Bezo's, Zucker or any of the many movie stars and/or 3%ers as your yardstick - then yes, you may feel you got the shitty end of the stick. Look at the slums, soup kitchen, charity receivers...

Use them as your yardstick, you ain't doing bad at all

This is all garbage data. The only reason poverty numbers are going down is because they aren't adjusted for inflation. So the more you inflate the money supply , the "less" non inflation adjusted poverty you will get.

I see young gangs of Thai youth (13-15)with their motorcycles and cellphones and it makes me wish I had their childhood
