NZ missed a chance in not changing the flag a few years back.

The Laser Kiwi would have been without a doubt the nicest and bestest flag in the World:

The simplistic Uruguayan design and colours take it, amid the controversy of handballs on the goal-line, alleged biting and lots of rolling around on the ground with 10 minutes to go.

Congratulations the nicest national flag in the World.

This is what should be the Australian flag
Not some idiotic green and gold southern cross effort.
(the cross is visible all over the Southern Hemisphere...)
Then it would be the world’s nicest flag.

    That's very good.

Have you thought of telling your Grade 2 teacher after the school lunch break?

I've always liked the simplicity of the French flag.

Starts topic for seven-year-olds...mocks someone for a ‘childish’ contribution.

The Aboriginal flag is quite nice.

I remember Public Enemy raising it in a tour video, and of course Kathy Freeman wore it well in Sydney 2000.

Perhaps they could change it to that.... while saying sorry.

    It's certainly the liveliest.

    Hence the imagery suggestion.
It's not about the people - it's about the land.
As aboriginal people allegedly say - we belong to the land and not the other way around.

And why must flags all be rectangles with the same proportions anyway ?
Rectangles of a certain aspect ratio are the easiest to fly I guess.

    They aren't.

The Swiss and Vatican City flags are square.

The Nepalese flag designer was smoking some damn good shit.
