^ Jabir... if you forget every year it becomes the norm and I've found that takes the sting out of my wife's anger.

And then on the rare occasion you remember something the wife thinks you're wonderful!

"No talk"? Perhaps in some cases not such a tragedy...

Unlike "No food"... (however in Thailand, not a big tragedy either...)

Prorities vary depending on the individual. Make her a nice cup of tea. Sit with her and spend a minute or two duscussing whether a trip to the hospital is in order.

You need to watch the Thai soaps to keep up with "normal" Thai expectations.

^ I may have understated that bang. She went running into the kitchen, screaming. I ran the finger under cold water and she fainted, whereupon I lay her down and brought her round with tiger balm. She might lose her fingernail but I'm not going to tell her and make things worse. She lay on the sofa while I finished things in the garden. Hospitals are not the places to go to right now. Gauze and surgical tape made it all look pretty again.

    Ah yes, soap operas.

Wherever the country, they are uncannily similar to real life.

Just be helpfull when she loses her finger. Taking her to the hospital would put the responsibility on the Thai doctor and she would have been given a bag of coloured pills to put away for a rainy day.

Both could be used in your defences from blame.

That's the logic, western style at least.

Good idea. Another good idea from a Thai mate was to slap her around sometimes for no particular reason, so when I don't smack her she thinks I'm fcuking great.

She thought it was, probably because she has a sense of humour; search deep enough and you might also enjoy some.

This trait seems to be amiss here - in quantity.

I suggested getting a Thai tutor for the kid because she's got a mountain of worksheets to do before school starts. Wife refused. Angry at the idea she can't tutor her own child.

They're currently 20minutes in and still arguing about writing her name on the paper.
I'd like to see what morning looks like
Don't wanna drink pint after pint
I wanna wake up without feeling sick
    But I can't cuz I'm a drug-abusing alcoholic

My wife luckily was a good tutor reteaching what they had been taught. Best of luck. If its a no go she may well suggest a tutor. That happened later..

To be more concerned with the wife's character of supposed anger more so than our own obvious matters of anxiety/moody display might be considered a bit contradictory.

Remember who runs the show - and go with it.

you seem to reference ld's long forgotten porridge episode even more than i reference your proven predilection for wanking off to blonde cheerleader porn.
