TD legend DJPats channel is going from strength to strength!
If you get a chance Pat, this event will make a damn good video and is in your area of expertise with the vinyl etc
Ratchada Train Night vintage Market opens for 3 days in March
Shalom
One of DJPats better videos...
...poor Pat's paddling in a shrinking puddle...
Not knocking Pat (well, I am, but I'm not), but how long do you think he will keep this up for until he runs out of material.
I'm guessing he is doing this for monetary reasons and not for love as he has tried to reinvent himself as Bangkok Pat, the all-wise chap with an encyclopedia knowledge of the Thai capital, compared to DJPat, the man who takes pride from doing runners from restaurants and used to give his cousin bum love.
The last video has made him around $20 (4,000 non-ad views) in Youtube revenue.
How much money do YouTubers make every 1,000 views?
With the average YouTube pay rate hovering between $0.01 and $0.03 for an ad view, a YouTuber can make around $18 per 1,000 ad views, which comes out to $3 to $5 per 1,000 video views. Forbes also estimates that for top talent, a YouTuber can make about $5 for every 1,000 video views.
With that said, creating a YouTube channel can be a great side hustle, especially if you produce engaging content that attracts a large audience. However, getting to this point can be tough work, and we’ll get more into that later on in this post.

Black diamonds? I shit 'em.
Why do you care?
It's not as if he's your mate like smeggly is or anything.
Oh...wait!
YouTube is hit and miss. Some channels catch fire overnight. Covid and the lockdown really didn't help a channel like this at all. If covid lifted completely and travelers started flooding back in , it would probably give him a serious bump.
Looks like his most popular vid has 11,000 views. A few around 3-4000. A few months ago , it was all under 1000.
Just my opinion...
If he's doing it for the money, he must be more agressive. Put out more content (2 to 3 vids per week) or expand his territory, not just Bkk.
CB media gained 100k subs in less than 1 year. I just checked, and he has now 278k subs. Some of his vids have 1M+ views. I like his motorcycle/ travel vids around TH. The car vids & Pattaya-Walking street vids, not so much. But those have an audience too - CB knows his audience.
There's a British family who got stuck in lockdown here in PI on Siargao island (8 miles from home). Their sub & view count exploded last year, during the strict lockdown. They're now almost 200k subs. They put out daily vlogs. I used to watch them last year, because they lived near the beach & their vids provided an escape. I've lost interest, since now they're mostly whinging about the joys & pains of island life. I checked, and their vids are still doing well at ~25k views per vid.
That's like saying everyone whose hobby is playing in a pub band must be more aggressive if they want to become a superstar, everyone whose hobby is running must become more aggressive to get into the Olympics, and everyone whose hobby is painting must become more aggressive if they want to imitate Picasso's success.
Blimey, anyone would think he'd given you his username for another forum or something.
Well done Pat- these are better than the average backpacker (or begpacker) vids in my opinion. I've subscribed.
Umm yeah...katie23 has been set right there, I reckon.
