    Adobe flash is gone

So Am I correct in thinking the Arcade no longer functions or do I have to download Adobe Flash? I'm bored.

Don't do that. Flash is full of holes and is a security risk on your PC. It is no longer supported by Adobe. It is dead and for good reason.

Buy a nice video game for your PC to keep you occupied.

    The Arcade works for me.

Click to enable Adobe Flash Player

    Click Allow

Wait for the programme to load

    Play

Yes I used to get the "Allow Flash" box did so and up popped the game.
The "Allow" box no longer appears.

Can the kind Mods not do something so I don't end up suicidal?

As it works for me, it is likely a setting on your computer/device that needs changing rather than the forum. What device are you using?

It is a setting in your browser - what it should do when being presented with a flash file.
Playing it using an external program, playing it using the browser, playing it using a browser extension/add-on.

Have a look at the settings in your browser, CJ. See what needs to be changed there.

Firefox apparently has flash support built in, I don't have Adobe Flash add-on for it anymore and it plays any Youtube video.
Other browser may need an add-on/plug-in

That is because HTML5 has replaced Flash on Youtube. HTML5 is the successor to Flash which is going to be killed this year due to the fact that it is a security threat to malware. I would remove flash off of your computer and not reinstall it. It is dead dated tech. Like I said before if you are bored go to steam.com and download a game to play.

big security risk for Flash, should be disabled by default

at least Apple is blocking it on on Apple devices,

I think Google Android and ChromeOS has also disabled it on their devices

I am surprised it's still available on Windows 10

Ah!..... Given the technical know how of a wizened crone from the 13th. century I thank you for your advice but unfortunately it means nothing to me.

A couple of weeks ago I got a couple of those ransom letter things. You know the type, send us a thousand quid or we'll send all the porn you looked to all your nearest and dearest. I just binned them but since then lots of strange things have happened. For example, my Outlook account failed to work, wouldn't accept the password. I went through the password renewal procedure to no effect. Now there's this adobe kerfuffle. My Bittorrent thing failed, well, just seized up and I seem to be sleeping to much. Any suggestions in simple language gratefully received. Particularly the Ourlook/facebook disappearance and the Adobe affair. I've no doubt it'd user error but I'm buggered if I know what I've done. Cheers.

Near the www address is a little lock or something. Click that and there should be a bit that allows flash. Allow it and it'll ask to refresh, click refresh. And hope.

If you are using chrome it is automatically set to not run flash. You have to go in to settings and manually set it to run.

you should get yourself an iPad, eventually those things become more PiA for a certain population demographics and there is no help to assist them,

Give it a good scan and cleaning-out, Crackerjack.

Run AVG and Malwarebytes just in case you've picked up some nasty. Then Superantispyware.

Then Advanced System Care. And Ccleaner.

Then perhaps a registry clean (free, of course). And update your drivers for free with Driver Booster.
None of them have ever done my computer any harm.....and all free.

    Sure, you are joking?

and if you are, that's a pretty shitty thing to advise.

I shall do that. I use CCleaner regularly, plus MWB and AVG but not tried Advanced System Care, which I will do now.

Interestingly, Armstrongs suggestions "Near the www address is a little lock or something. Click that and there should be a bit that allows flash. Allow it and it'll ask to refresh, click refresh. And hope." worked perfectly.
so I can enjoy Mahjong with my afternoon beverage. Cheers to you Armstrong.

I shall now investigate Advanced System Care.

    Thanks for the help.
