Things you wish you'd bought before the lockdown

I am so used to just popping out and getting something that I rarely have much in the way of stuff at home.

I wanted to give MIL a blood sugar test and batteries had discharged. Same with the blood pressure kit. Fortunately we could get the batteries from Tesco Lotus. Not the digital thermometer though...but we had two ( I bought one on my way over just in case).

Printer ran out of ink and no spares...

Air con ... Should have installed another one for the office but didn't expect to be here March and April...

Ran out of books to read...

    Should have bought a playstation...

Bath tub. I need a bath tub.

I could have built a BBQ with so much time on my hands. I can't find decent bricks or a grill.

What do you wish you'd bought before the lockdown?

I try and move on from it.

At the risk of sounding like jeff, maybe you should read up on Buddhism?

Drinking water is running a bit low where I am. It'll be tough to manage without that.

    Playstations and barbecues...not so much.

Should have bought more hand sanitizers, but they were unavailable before the quarantine.

My panic buying adventures came in very handy as I've purchased six months supply of mouthwash, sanitary napkins, tissue rolls, shampoo and soap. As for food, I have close to a year's supply.

Wish I had more books and records...... Might prove handy if things get much worse and I'm not required to go to work.
I am so unlucky that if I fall into a barrel full of D*ick**s, I'd come out sucking my own thumb!

Not being funny Troy but I can get everything now that I could before the lock-down. Nothing has changed where I live. Life goes on.

^ I do but i left it in Germany. It wasn't top of my things to pack as I chucked stuff in the suitcase and ran for the hills.

Cyrille, time on hands and big garden to play in but no materials to build on ideas...

Dragonfly...are you in to esoteric languages? I liked PI, which uses brainfuck. Takes your mind off the current situation for a while...

Mouthwash is just ethanol. Same as hand sanitiser. (i.e. booze)

You can probably just put mouthwash in an empty spray bottle and spray it on your hands.

Or if not then try 12 year old Glenlivet

You can buy printer ink online quite easily.

I would be surprised if you couldn't buy an air conditioner online and have it installed.

asiabooks are reliable. You can buy from them online here https://www.asiabooks.com/

I'm sure that you can buy a PS4 online without any difficulty.

A bathtub may be the only difficult one to source, but it's quite probable one of the hardware store would still be selling and installing them.

My guess is that you would have all them (bar the bath) within 3 days.

For me, its really only some building materials to get some jobs done. The sand and cement necessitated a 70 mile round trip to get the patio slabs rebedded but honestly that aside nothing - for Troy and others in his situation given the decamp then clearly its more an issue.

You are kidding right? Thailand is bloody great. Since the lock down I have signed up with power buy, makro, tops, jib, lazada, paleo robbie and ikea. I have a stream of stuff being delivered daily. I just got the travel companion aircon installed in her place. All on line.
