They say the journey is just as important as the destination, and I guess it was my parents that gave me a love of overland travel. Lot of very fond memories of ferries (P&O from Hull!) and long train journeys to the French Rivera. Might pester them for some photos over Skype 555.

The bugger of this lockdown is that it has made me binge plan hypothetical journeys; here to future adventures!

I couldn't state just one country with good memories, worked or visited so many places around the world and have great memories from some absolute fucking shit-holes that generally revolve around being drunk as a skunk with workmates, breaking out a wad of USD, and local poon.

One all time highlight was getting blown while sitting on a deck chair on the balcony of a beachfront hotel - glass of Argentinian red in hand and empty packet of wizz on the table - by a total babe from Helpe disco while watching the sun come up over Copacabana Beach. Yeah that's a fond memory..

Morocco in the late 90’s.. the first time I was there for a couple of months and travelled around mostly on the dusty buses and totally fell in love with the place from Atlantic coast to the far south, the high Atlas and the Rif mountains. I’ll never forgot the sights, sounds and smells.. upmost was the hospitality of the people, the stunning beautiful country and a place of great adventures that I never really shook off. When I left Casablanca on the last day I then arrived to BKK three days later, that journey’s destination became my future life! but Morocco keeps a special place in my heart.. if you haven’t been and you like seeing the world then you should go, it is much safer and more accessible now than then but still retains its magic.

Sweet! I never went abroad growing up, but it sounds like you had some really cool experiences in the French Riviera.
I agree about planning journeys.. so many schools are hiring now for August/September, but not sure what will be open by then flight wise that is the unknown thing about applying for jobs this upcoming year.
