Take a ride in the car with little to no traffic. Then be able to get a nice lunch that I did not have to cook. Small things to start..

Koh Chang looks to be the best bet for an early release from this purgatory with Chonburi and Bangkok not loosening their girdle until June at the earliest.

Returning to Blighty for our customary September visit may yet happen but I would still be a bit chary of long haul air travel.

One would hope/think this will be over by then if the Brits handle the situation with even a tiny bit of professionalism and competence

    1 Turkish shave

Is this a different way of shaving? I have heard of Turkish baths, but never a Turkish shave.
Giving up DIY... but, why. lol

    -------

    For me:

I will eat at my favorite Greek restaurant.
Take a long trip to Thailand to spend a month at my favorite Muay Thai camp.
See my best friend who lives an hour away and do a long bike ride on the best trails ever.
Spend time at my gym which has been closed for over a month.
Attend two interviews that have been put on hold since the schools closed.

    Great thread, PH.

Yea, sounds just a bit suss . . . Chitty, is this where you and some excessively hairy Turkish barber get undressed down to a loin cloth in a steam room and then shave each other?

Ours would be a Mediterranean owned and ru by a Turk . . . (not the primer of the 'Turkish Shave' phantasy of Chitty, above )

Yea, the travelling bit might have to wait a while, I think. Countries will be loathe to open up and let millions of people in again. Though the tourism sector here in NZ has taken a massive blow, like everywhere else, there will be a huge upturn in domestic holidays soon

more of a "post covid" than a "spoil yourself" question, but...

if a vaccine becomes available at some point this year, how long will you wait before taking it?

Sorry Ray, there is no cure for brash arrogance and stupidity. You are doomed along with buttplug.

Probably take a 'wait-and-see' attitude to its side-effects in the people that do take it . . . which in NZ isn't really necessary as the number of cases are 1. Yup - one active case.

^Yeah, wait and see for me too, but my current employer may make it mandatory when a vaccine becomes available.

As for post lockdown, I'm heading to my local buffet first then a trip to LOS.

Although, honestly, Thailand might open up before casino buffets at this rate.....

Yes. It hasn't been too much of a hardship at all in Thailand. I'd hate to have had to sit it out in the UK or Europe with all their Covid restrictions.
