Have you been stung by the wasps here?

The worst one for me was while bending down clearing out overgrown vegetation one stung me on my upper lip, but it did look funny.

Yes, sixteen times, all at the same time, luckily I was beside the swimming pool and able to get away from them!
Spent the night in hospital, my one and only stay in a hospital
Wife had told me it was lucky to have a nest in the garden!
    We burnt the "lucky" Ba$tards!

No hornet or scorpion stings yet, but the missus say's those little white scorpions are bad ass, found one once under a pillow on the matt on the floor, Had one of those big mud hornet nests inside the outdoor laundry and they used to stop and watch me when i came in, that was spooky.

Walked between the table and bench seat once and was hit all at the same time by 5 of the them on the top of left foot and ankle and the Thai family came running saying "go to doctor go to doctor" when they saw the size of the nest under the table, (I think only cause im farang), but have been stung plenty times already so i wasnt worried, hurt like hell though, i think with16 stings i would take their advise.

    Aggressive little buggers aren't they...

Everyone and the dog has been stung at one time or another in our family. They seem to favour the lips...

Asian hornet got under my collar and bit me on the back of the neck while i was riding. Pulled the bike over, was dizzy within 2 minutes, one minute later laying down in the ditch experiencing anaphylactic shock. My buddy was panicking wondering what to do and an old lady rode up on her bike and offered to call 1669. Five minutes later I'm in the back of a pickup bouncing around the mountain roads to Pua. Pua hospital injected adrenalin right away and a few minutes later I was doing ok, but seriously shook up. I now carry two needles with adrenaline in my backpack. (side note, ambulance, medical attention, one night hospital was only 2900B) (been bitten by insects many times in my life, first time I reacted like that)

Was stung all the time as a kid in Aus, when we used to run ammuck in paddocks and trails, but those little wasps are only half the size of the buggers we get here, you can actually feel the thud when they hit you, and the fuckers hide and build nests so fast that you wake up one morning then walk down the stairs to make a coffee and have no idea of the impending attack on your legs, then comes the chaidrite or whatever way you spell it.

    Adrenaline?

Find that unlikely. Do you mean epinephrine?

Had a snake in the wife's old house too once, typical small thai teak house, was upstairs in the kitchen area must have came up the outside wall and into the house through the timber slats over the sink bench area, was about a meter long killed it and the neighbors said she cant eat it. So we chucked it.

Stung by all sorts of flying insects here, inevitable if spending time in long grass or among trees playing golf. But the worst pain comes from a particular breed of ant found on many golf courses, when those fuckers lock onto unsuspecting ankles and lower legs you really know you've been bit.

I think your talking about Marauder Ants, The wife here up north calls them Mort Damn, I cant post photos yet, but they are in all different sizes and you dont know the small ones are on you till they all start biting together, usually when one has made it all the way up your shorts and shirt to your neck even into your hair when you run inside and think tour safe they are still there.

I found those that live in the Soi Cowboy nests pretty good. They sting you of course, but always have small bottles of soothing potion to rub, and rub, and rub .... on all the stung body parts. Most relaxing really.

My Chinese acupuncturist swears by them and recommends a monthly session, due to their ability to ward off many different types of influenza attacks.

He also can supply official Chinese language certificates of influenza immunity, accepted at TI Offices, land boarders and airports, allegedly

We had a nest of hornets in one of the spirit houses a few years ago, and while I was trying to get rid of them with an aerosol and lighter used as a flamethrower I got stung by one on the forehead. It was like being hit with a bat and one eye swelled and closed up for two days. I felt nauseous and ill for a couple of days.

Many years ago my daughter was stung on the upper leg by a wasp while she was playing in the garden. The sting was obvious so I put a smear of cream on it and settled her down in front of the telly to try and stop her crying. She got worse and worse and started screaming and going mental, so I took her for a shower and found that the wasp had got trapped inside her nappy and had stung her all over... poor thing, she had stings everywhere!

Hmm. My bad. Apparently adrenaline and epinephrine are the same thing.

Which means you can look for an epi-pen to replace that expired prescription.

If you find a nest of wasps, hornets arc the safest way to dispose of them is suffocation.
Use a thick plastic bin bag and gaffa tape them in, return a few days later and vacuum them out.

Got stung about 10-11 times by some wasp/hornet type insects but I ran away as fast as I could so cannot be certain on exactly what they were.

The little black ants are the worst for me. If enough of them get on me eventually my lips go numb. Mot Daeng are OK as usually there are only one or two of them.

Epipen in Thailand 4500 Baht if you can find one. Syringe with Adrenaline free at the local hospital. I'll stick to the syringe, and yes way expired! slipped my mind.
