Anyone finding any Thai hostility/segregation towards farang?

Just read a page on FB, and some of the comments are dramatic to say the least, though seems, some farangs are being victimised after the health ministers comments, about farang.

Not seen a jot of recent anti-foreigner (at least white 'farang') prejudice personally. At least not more than normal, anyway.

Everyone wearing masks, observing the recent protocols and behaving in a decent manner, so far where I am.

Nothing up North here. Life as normal. But if you go out without a mask people do call you on it. But that's Thai or anybody. Nothing foreigner specific

I think the Thais fear and distrust their elites more than they do us farangs.

But it cannot be proven since any demonstration of this is a criminal offence; or of course that could be the proof.

anyone with functioning ears and who can understand vernacular thai will be well aware that there is a definite undercurrent of bad feeling towards foreigners, especially since the start of the coronovirus epidemic and the shameful comments of the government minister.

this is different from the usual negative comments and criticisms muttered under the breath and heard when checking ones change after a market transaction, totting up the bill in a restaurant or giving a tip that the recipient considers insufficient.

i am talking about bangkok and central hua hin. i suspect attitudes may be different in smaller communities where ones face is known.

as a pudee angrit and suphaarp buruut i of course am rarely subjected to such intolerable abuse, but regularly hear it directed at others, many of whom it must be said are more than deserving of the insults they attract.

Nope, I've been on my best behaviour. Thai immigration even saluted me when I entered the office.

I dunno penny-pinching tightwads are pretty much universally loathed aren't they... Except by other tightwads of course.

The topic is 'hostility toward falang', my wife is Thai.

Doesn't really include you either as an Asian man.
