^Sparkling addition, as always.
Really puts me to shame.
I haven't really been following the virus news lately,as it was all getting depressing, flight back home today was a bit of an eye opener got to Guernsey airport, The security looked even more Big Brother than usual, not a smile from one of them, there was 6 of the them, for a 3 passenger flight..Their's only going to be 4 flights for the whole day.
Jeez how spooky its becoming. flight to Southampton, was browsing out the window as we landed and looking at deserted roads, and kids in large groups in parks or open areas. and wow it hit me.
Fuk its fucked, from Guernsey to Liverpool flight and train to Liverpool 8.5 hour journey, usually 1.5 hrs. no chance of even getting a drink of anything in all that time i thought fek this is scary.
All the dispensing machines switched off, hmm whats next bio-logical war suits walking about.
Anyway after all the tribulations to day, the good thing I got back Home and that,s a real positive.
My heart goes out to people who can't get back home.

I wish I'd bought ZOOM shares a month ago.
^After a few months of this you can safely go long on any index.
Spending a lot of quality time with the family . . . sadly minus one stuck in Aus. Tomorrow is the last day of my self-isolation requirement and the covid-19 test came back negative . . . still, can't go anywhere.
I'm struggling to imagine many positives.
Perhaps people will better appreciate the simple pleasures of a meal shared with family and friends. The ability to live in and enjoy the moment has eluded many in the west for some time. It's a good time to take stock.
The Uk domestic travel industry will possibly benefit. The Brits are net outbound travelers - it will certainly be a while before you convince my parents to sit in close proximity to strangers on a flight.
Airbnb may be the winner. Will people want to stay in a 1000 room hotel with its petri dish of possible diseases? The simplicity of a clean, single unit home might offer more appeal to both leisure and business travel.
Yea, I didn't get that one either . . . four days after my arrival back home I took the covid-19 test up the nostril and the 14 ays counted from there.
But . . . it's like chicken soup . . . can't hurt
True . . . I've decided no more six month work trips, even if the girls do come to visit for three weeks over Chrissie or other holidays . . . it's just not worth it. Two weeks max now

If we are lucky, globalisation will stutter and shrink, while self sufficiency will see considerable growth.
I would like to see Chico's and Looper's gf for some lesbian action
Would be nice. However, small-medium and even large businesses will go under. Millions of people will lose their jobs, and thus their homes to the banks.
The big, connected conglomerates will scoop up the slack and be able to employ people for fuck-all. Many other people will be dependent on the State and handouts only bestowed for "good behaviour" like the Chinese model.
I hope you're right, but I don't like the way this is heading. It also has an air of being a manufactured 'event' towards major globalization.

The most positive is that the war machine has been stopped (almost)...
FIL's Durian crop becoming ripe for harvest.
First day:
Grade 1 : 211 kg @ THB 115/kg
Grade 2 : 75 kg @ THB 50/kg
THB 28,015 kg gross.
Not even 1/2 a pickup full. The two porters earnt their hot afternoons pay carrying 50 kg loads.
Large smile on his face. Last year he had a larger Grade 2 %.
That will feed him and his daughter for a few months.
The buyer and his fruit cutter were from South Thailand.
A tray full of GOLD is not worth a moment in time.
^What else can an ignorant - the one who comments on any post - remark...
^ FOK . . . you're repeating yourself
9.5 weeks or social isolation has made reading about systematic desk based research methods really interesting.
