Didn't Prince Charles go into self isolation because he was exhibiting symptoms or am I remembering wrong.
Haven't heard much about him. It's been a long time since any of the royal family died. they're due to start dropping like flies.

World Cup winner Norman Hunter in hospital with coronavirus

The TeakDOOR Famous People with Covid-19 thread-4921a-jpg

The former Leeds United and England centre-half Norman Hunter is in hospital with coronavirus. The 76-year-old, dubbed “Bites yer legs”, had a reputation as a ferocious tackler during his 540 games in 15 years at Elland Road. Leeds were quick to send one of their enduring cult heroes a message, saying: “Keep battling Norman, we are all with you.”

Comedian and BBC broadcaster Tim Brooke-Taylor has died at the age of 79 after contracting coronavirus, his agent has announced.

Best known for The Goodies and I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, Brooke-Taylor died on Sunday.

His agent said he was "an exceptional client" who had "many fans whom he always treated cheerfully even after long and exhausting rehearsals and recordings".

"It is with great sadness that we announce Tim's death early today from Covid-19," his agent said in a statement.

"Joining Footlights in 1960 took him to providing a huge variety of splendid entertainment - television, radio, theatre, film, books, DVDs, CDs, quizzes, etc - all of which he undertook with energy and a great sense of fun.

"We will remember him for so much but must just mention The Goodies and I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue."

    ^RIP TBT

TBT looked a bit like BettyBoo. Any relation Betty?

Kenny Dalglish and BoJo are both out. Sir Kenneth did not even have symptoms. Just got picked up in a routine hospital test when he was in for something else.

^ This is the saddest one yet for me... I grew up watching The Goodies and lately listen to a lot of BBC radio. I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue is a great show and won't be the same.

    * Me too. But he was 79 and had a good life.

I just wish he'd been able to live it out till it ended more naturally.

My first memories of him were on I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again. It was on past my bedtime on sunday evenings. I used to listen to it under the covers laughing my head off. sometimes so much I would end up listening to the American football on the armed forces network until early into the morning.

I agree that I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue is terrific radio. BBC Radio 4 has some great programmes

^ Yeah... I wonder what will happen to Just a Minute as well now, with Nicholas Parsons passing away... albeit not from CORVID-19.

Agreed, they are classic programmes - Radio 4 has a number of them, lets hope they can continue. My saturdays changed for ever once John Peel died with Home Truths.

Novak Djokovic: World number one becomes latest tennis player to test positive for coronavirus

World number one Novak Djokovic has become the latest tennis player to test positive for Covid-19.

It comes after Grigor Dimitrov, Borna Coric and Viktor Troicki all revealed they had coronavirus after playing at Djokovic's Adria Tour competition.

Djokovic, 33, played fellow Serb Troicki in the first event in Belgrade.

The TeakDOOR Famous People with Covid-19 thread-_113049190_djokovicanddimitrov-jpg

Great Britain's Andy Murray said the positive tests were a "lesson for us", while Australian Nick Kyrgios called playing a "bone-headed decision".

A statement on Djokovic's website said: "Immediately upon his arrival in Belgrade Novak was tested along with all members of the family and the team with whom he was in Belgrade and Zadar. He is not showing any symptoms."

There have been no ATP Tour events since February because of the global pandemic and the Adria Tour, which is not an ATP Tour event, was one of the first competitions to be staged since then.

The first leg in Serbia attracted 4,000 fans, and players were later pictured dancing close together in a Belgrade nightclub.

Bulgaria's Dimitrov played Croatia's Coric on Saturday in the second leg in Zadar, Croatia.

With Croatia easing lockdown measures, players were not obliged to observe social distancing rules and were seen embracing at the net at the end of their matches.

Pictures on the tournament's social media site from Friday showed Dimitrov playing basketball with Djokovic, Alexander Zverev and Marin Cilic, while he also put his arm around Coric before their match.

Coronavirus: Brazil's President Bolsonaro tests positive

Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro has tested positive for coronavirus.

The TeakDOOR Famous People with Covid-19 thread-_113266137_062324617-jpg

He took the test, his fourth, on Monday after developing symptoms, including a high temperature.

Mr Bolsonaro has repeatedly played down the risks posed by the virus, calling it "a little flu" and saying that he would not be seriously affected by it.

He has also urged regional governors to ease lockdowns, which he says hurt the economy, and on Monday he watered down regulations on wearing face masks.

Mr Bolsonaro made the announcement in a TV interview on Tuesday. He said the fever he had been experiencing had gone down and that he felt "very well".

The president said that he had started experiencing symptoms on Sunday. He said he had had a high temperature, a cough and had felt unwell.

He added that on Monday he had felt worse which prompted him to take the coronavirus test.

Mr Bolsonaro is in a higher-risk group because of his age, 65.

He said he was taking hydroxychloroquine - championed by US President Donald Trump - and azithromycin to treat the illness.

The executive director of the World Health Organization, Dr Mike Ryan, wished President Bolsonaro "a speedy and full recovery from this disease", adding: "I think the message to us all is: we are vulnerable to this virus."
    'I wouldn't feel anything'

Back in April, Mr Bolsonaro said that even if he were to be infected with the virus, he would "not have to worry as I wouldn't feel anything, at most it would be like a little flu or a little cold".

When he made the remark, the number of Covid-19-related deaths was still under 3,000 and the number of infections was around 40,000.

It often gets worse after a week or so. We can only hope......if he carks it, the Amazon (and tribes therein) will be less threatened.
