Brisbane has gone into lockdown because of 1 covid case
Stocked up on essentials just to be on the safe side
What are you going to drink tomorrow though?
My stockpile, already half-eaten.
I rarely drink, so no need to get the booze in. There's no Covid in Laos (lowest cases/million population in the whole world except Vanuatu). Life goes on as normal for me, with the exception that you're fcuked if you have a tourism business - foreign tourists left last year and most places are closed/bankrupt.
The only light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak, will be when the fast railway line from China opens. Trains have already run to test the track, and completion of station infrastructure is not far away,
Groping women when you're old is fine - everyone thinks you're senile
It may be a boost for here in Luang Prabang, since we're only about 170 Km from Yunnan province. Already I see the return of Chinese tourists in town, (no idea how they got across the border, since the latter is all but closed to foreigners). Also, outside the protected town centre, there are many Chinese businesses of all types.
I've got about 100 cans of Leo stocked up.
