It's getting impossible to buy in the UK ...
Long life milk
Pasta
Paracetamol
Vodka
sugar
Loo roll
supermarkets are limiting purchases to four of each item now.
I got bollocked last night for trying to buy 30 tins of sardines
Every cupboard in the house is full now.
The alcohol shortage is a worry, so i've bought a big bag of weed to see me through the next couple of weeks.
Just popped out to get petrol and stopped in waitrose for Darjeeling teabags and they are out of them, loo rolls too with people buying up kitchen roll as a substitute. Its a madhouse.
It's bordering on mass hysteria out there.
I'm locking the doors and chilling out, thank fvck for PS4 network.
Hope the internet doesn't crash, then the world will have a real Zombie apocalypse.
Maybe the Thais don't panic buy or think ahead that far.
Stockpiling is for wimps.
*panic* *screech*Life without ketchup?! How would that be possible?! *whine* *deflect*
Utterly pathetic.
I bet his Missus is fine with just the scratchcards.
^ If you have have contact with someone positive - you are home bound for two weeks. That means no going out at all. Have a look around and ask could you shut the door and stay home for two weeks and live off what you have in the house? My family of three adults most certainly could not prior to this weekend.
Fuck ketchup, rice, noodles, sugar, coffee, water and other staples are where it is at.
^ You get Friends, Family, Neighbours to do the shopping for you and leave it at the front door so no direct contact.
And retailers could show some spine too! Just look to people like Mudassir Naweed to show the way..
Mudassir Naweed, a shopkeeper from the Premier store in Yew Tree, Yardley, banned bulk buying and said he would try to deliver essentials to vulnerable customers.
He said: “If you need essentials we’re here to help. I’ll try my best to get it for you and keep it aside.
“We have toilet rolls, some meds left, nappies in most sizes, tinned food, other groceries, etc. Please message before heading over to make sure we have what you need.
“We will not sell in bulk loads to panic buyers as this is unfair to our community and we won’t be putting the prices up like some other places.
“If you need a package putting together for those that are vulnerable we will fully accommodate but we may need help in delivering to those people.
“On the plus side we have plenty of cigarettes and booze …"
Full marks to Mudassir Naweed.
Psych-Ops?
Well we've been saying it for years on Thai fora.
It might be the only single thing on which every poster on every Thai forum ever agrees.
Go bumgun.
And with regard to the post above...tp is bulky, so not stored in the quantity of, say, canned goods. 1+1=2
I don't understand why people suddenly think there are going to be shortages of everything to the point of thinking they need to panic buy. The way to ensure there aren't shortages is NOT to panic bulk buy.
Such an apocalypse is only ever a manufactured one, created by sensation hungry media.
The blurb Airportwo posted isn’t true around here. When I shopped yesterday canned goods were wiped out as well as noodles, sugar, flour and the likes. I’m so happy I shopped two weeks ago.
