The bacon looks perfectly cooked. That's a nice bit of bread.

Can take the matching sheet as well!

This looks bad I know... but in my defense that is on my daughter's side and she's never complained.

Just now the wife spends most nights at her desperately sick mum's house (I don't think she'll survive more than another couple of weeks) so my daughter and I pretty much fend for ourselves. No fault or anything, just the way it is.

But... what a state that bed was in... how embarrassing! Teakdoor has made me see the error of my ways.

I've just chucked everything in the washing machine, apart from the sheet that's gone to the dog's bedding pile. Just hope it doesn't rain or else I'll never get it all dry in time!

I'm sure there is a logical explanation but ... you sleep with your daughter?

Dave, you'll find a lot of Thai kids sleep with their parents into their teens. Certainly the vast majority of my daughter's friends sleep with their parents. The Asian way... not the Western way.

I can't say I'm altogether happy with that... but being away from home at least 6 months a year, that's one battle I'll never win.

You have to pick your battles.

    Regal Suffolk, Regal duvet.

Poor old Mendip, all that happened was his lovely and kind wife brought him breakfast in bed...

    2. Mendips Mrs did it because she's jealous Mendip is having a fling with the gardener.
    3. She is trying to poison him but seems to have given up the slow dose game part way through the third meal.
    4. She's subtly reminding him he's forgotten an anniversary but Mendip still can't figure out which one.
    5. She did it to be nice and gave up part way through meal 3 because of the suspicious look on Mendips boat race.
    6. She's trying to work out how to tell Mendip she's pregnant.

    I think that covers it
    7. Mrs Mendip has seen the TD POTY trophy sitting proudly in their home and she was mightliy impressed by Mendip's achievement. She has also noticed the new cool gadget in the pick-up truck, the cool new mobile phone Mendip now has and the amazing food Mendip is now eating due to the S10+ diet upgrade. In short, she realses what a good catch Mendip is and wanted to show her appreciation.

    8. It could also be that she realises that life is short and can be taken away from us and our loved ones with nothing we can do about it (MiL seriously ill). An act of kindness to those close to us can help us get through difficult times.

Dill you can't scrimp on good bedding, £35 for a 400 TC pillow case is a bargain.
