Arrow Watching people play vinyl records on YouTube thread.

For some reason I find it compelling.
This one's not bad , though I'd prefer a little more stylus bounce, a proper look at the LP cover art, and annoyingly I can't see the reflection of the paintings from the walls clearly enough to test myself on the artist.

I've been giving away stacks (crates) of 78 and 33.3 LP to friends and family. I used to collect them but found that I really don't listen to 95% of them so I'm whittling it down to a few boxes that I plan to save.

I'm selling the old Zenith console stereo. It's an oldie but a goodie. I have a few carry box players that are old as hell and just may be worth hanging on to.

I heard that sort of thing is making a comeback. I may just ship one to Laos just for kicks.

The catalog number is either on the cover or record label. Anything that you may think is rare and could be worth something you can enter the catalog number in this website to get an idea of the worth. Discogs - Music Database and Marketplace

I have a Jefferson Airplane album that is valued at $1,500, amongst others.

I hope you are not like me and will regret getting rid of your records. I got rid of a stack a few years ago before I knew their real value. I now find myself unable to listen to the songs from those albums on YouTube or anywhere else as I regret selling them so much. I know exactly which records I got rid of and now find myself trying to find the same records to buy them again. As many vinyl collectors will tell you, the only records you should sell are none of them.

Well fucking hell, my 1964 copy of Bill Evans' "Dig It!" is worth nearly ten euros!

Now I can think about the yacht in Monte Carlo harbour.
